The current issue of Time (sorry no link for this article but you can buy it) has a piece by Joe Klein stating:

Upon Googeling, I found their website which states the primary purpose of the group is to distribute federally funded contraception. The group also bills itself as "The Voice of Family Planning." On its official listing of Coalition Partners the group teams up with:

    1) NARAL Pro-Choice America

    2) National Abortion Federation

    3) Center for Reproductive Rights.

This appears to be the one of the largest pro-abortion organizations in existence and is tax payer funded to boot! The fact that Time's Klein is now linking Thompson with the bunch AND AS A FORMER LOBBYIST FOR THEM is enough to give one pause.

    So What?

Lawyers will work for a fee. No endorsement implied.

I perceive that you perceive that Thompson has to be discredited to accomplish your agenda.

Stop struggling so hard. It's getting to be kinda comical.

So lawyers can be paid by abortion advocates, and nothing is wrong with that?

No endorsement is implied, but the love of money over morals is.

Welcome to the wonderful world of lawyers.

You're not surprised at how many politicians are lawyers, are you?

It is widely known that Fred has held a different position on abortion than he does now. Looking at his voting record it is obvious what his current position is. And this does not meet the definition of flip flop.

    nah, not surprised...

It bothers me though how people can pigeon hole their Christianity..

I knew a lawyer once who said it didn't matter to him what he did in his practice... he wasn't at church... He defended homosexuals in cases where the homosexuals wanted to adopt children... in one case I remember...

Then would go to church on Sunday and worship God.

It seems like a lot of people want to be Christians when it is advantageous to them, but when it is not, they look the other way...

I am not saying Thompson is doing this...
But I could never be a lawyer that supported abortion causes...

Of course I could never be a lawyer...

According to Thompson's papers at the Howard Baker center, which have been reviewed by the media, his firm was hired, and Fred did work on the case, but as an opposition research lawyer.

It's like this: you hire a firm to to represent your company to sue a mortgage company for false lending practices, as an example. One of your firm's lawyers (or paralegals, if smaller) will basically become an expert in mortgage lending and take the side of the mortgage company in its meetings, etc. It's just good legal preparation.

The fact that the pro-abortion media & the abortion lobby is so scared of a GOP candidate (FINALLY) almost makes me glad. The fact that none of these are bothered by any of the others is telling. Obviously, the top-tier candidates are nervous, too.

And look at Fred's record. His voting record is across the board pro-life, far more so than any other legislator in the race right now that isn't out or about to drop out.
