to add to your comment: Have you heard of the, "Invisable government?" They are the grand designers of our government. Faceless men, these you memtioned are the puppets. If they don't won'tto carry out these treasonable acts: they will just find someone that will do their bidding. I wouldn't doubt that these stimulus packages weren't already a sure thing. These congressmen, treasury secretary, Pelosi, Barny Frank . etc, and other traitors who are suppose to defend our constitution. They take oaths and are liars to the people they swear to protect. They take oaths to another type of organizations. How many times are they liars to whom they obey or to the planners of our downfall as a constitutional free nation.

He didn't take over nor did he attempt to take over the production process. GM now has a new CEO and he already has plans to make the company profitable. I read somewhere that Caddy and Chevy will be the remaining two divisions and he will take them through a bankruptcy. This is a guy whose been there less than a week.

Sounds like the change at GM was needed...

I'm sorry...but when the government goes into a company and forces a change in leadership...that is taking over.

    Two things...

    1. Geithner has explicitly said that he'll push others out if he sees the need. Does that not bother you?
    2. You do realize, don't you, that if "receiving government help" is the parameter for ousting a private corporation's leader...that all corporations are at risk?

Economic Fascism: If it doesn't scare you, you either don't know history, or don't appreciate freedom like you should.

It may or may not be what was needed. But that is not the Presidents call. The government could bail them out without giving and requirements. Doing so shows intent. And libbies want control over production. If you control leadership you control the whole. But in the end it is all unconstitutional.

Anyone who supports this but cried out about the patriot act shows they only wanted to bash Bush. They are not really worried about government efecting freedom.

That's a two way street Rev, you don't support this but was in favor of the union reduction measures the republican's tried. You guys have been against UAW and wanted those contracts void since day one. Well guess who approved those contracts on behalf of GM.

    Sure... Whatever you say...

No... In this case it doesn't bother me because I see the necessity and reason for the action. I know you choose not to see any other view than yours and I will not try and change your perception.

Sorry it took me a while to look these up. The right is again being hypocritical saying things like Obama is taking "unprecedented" actions with GM and how the "libbies" just want to take over these companies. How quickly they forget the things they did. The Republican's just fired the CEO's of AIG, Fanny and Freddy. And in the case of Fanny and Freddie, not only did they fire the CEO, they chose the replacement. What a bunch of hypocritical liars...

    http://www.wsws.org/articles/2008/sep2008/frfa-s08.shtml

What I'm saying is perhaps it isn't the governments place to do these things. But don't pretend like Obama and the Democrats are the first to do it. Every Republican I saw on the tube today said this was "unprecedented". That is simply a bald faced lie. The Republican party started this trend and Obama just followed their example... Why can't they own up and stop pretending like the Democrats run things any differently than they did?

Can you respond to anything honestly? This response has nothing to do with the post you quoted. What is it with libbies and their inability to make legitimate comparisons?

So who is pretending? See when all you have is to point to others and what you think they did wrong you then you actually have no argument.

In general polls between Democrats and Republicans it typically runs neck and neck. The perception is about government in general not specific parties.

You show an astounding ignorance as to Fascism and its danger to our economy.

    That is scary.
