Yes, but here's my question.

    Which of these do you believe?

    A. All persons have the inherent ability to choose Christ (sin does not leave them totally depraved).

    B. All persons have the ability to choose Christ, but only because of the enabling grace of the Holy Spirit.

    C. Only those chosen by God have the ability to come to faith in Christ, and the Holy Spirit causes this to happen.

    -----

    A. This is the position of Pelagius.

    B. This is the position of Arminius.

    C. This is the position of Calvin.
    </font>
and to answer this I will say...

    I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and all the rest is religion. ;)

    However to answer your question. B would sound more like what I believe.

    so, am I now branded a hell bound person or something?
    </font>
I wouldn't worry. I've changed my soteriological beliefs several times over now! If my salvation hinges on that, I'm in trouble!

    Total depravity - and in the need of the "DRawing of ALL mankind" to God - that God DOES? Yes!

    Perseverence of the Saints - as in THOSE who go to heaven will be able to walk back in time to a point of repentance and revival and they will have persevered the entire time? Yes! (Though they may have come to Christ a time or two before that as well and then fallen away).

    Arminians are sorta like a form of 2 pt Calvinists.

    In Christ,

    Bob

    Uhmmmm... Why'd you move me over here? I really didn't want to start a debate. but such is life. does this mean I won't be able to post in the "Baptist Only" areas no more? [IMG]

    The Welcome forum is a place to introduce yourself and not a place for discussions. That's the only reason this got moved. Welcome forum is for anyone!

    You say you're a Free Will Baptist and other than the footwashing... pretty much same as me and Granny! Post Away!

    I'm still trying to figure out how to log in and get a reply up, so I sure can't make fun of anyone's theology now, can I? [IMG]
