To The River

A preacher was finishing up a fiery sermon and boldly proclaimed, "If I had all the beer in the world, I'd go throw it in the river." Getting more worked up, he went on to say, "If I had all the wine in the world, I'd throw it in the river." Worked up to a fever pitch, he practically shouted,"Why, if I had all the whiskey in the world, I'd throw it in the river too."

After the sermon was finished, the worship leader got up and said to the congregation, "for our finishing hymn, please turn to page 238 in your hymnal, 'Take Me To the River'."
