Well where is the congress on this drug war on the American-mexico bordor. It's even happening in Phonex Az.
We have an enemy on the Border of Mexico. What is the Government doing about that? NOTHING.
We have serious problems in our own backyard. Why is it silenced. It't been going on for some time now. Why isn't the United States declaring war on that problem?
I thought when the Congressmen swere an oath, "I swear to protect the constitution against all enemies both foreign and doministicated. We should ring the phones off the hook in Washington, DC. Demand swift action. This thing can be stopped, but THEY DON'T WANT IT STOPPED. They are going to use it to their advantage, I'LL bet you a foot ball.

Democrats want the votes and businessmen want the cheap labor. Also the there are many leftists who want to eliminate the heritage of this country.

How can we stop all the illegal guns from entering Canada from pure America?

I guess we could penalize all Americans and close the border.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, whas wrong with putting a standing army and given them an ultimatetium that if you insist on doing harm or entering the U.S. with aggression we will defend our citizens with whatever we feel is approprate means that you force us to do. I know my spelling isn't that good

We have gone so many years without an armed border and we crossed the border freely..some ID, a driver's licence or such...To-day we need a passport, more ID and no one wants to go to the States anymore. We have several in our little community who gave up their Florida estates.....that, to me, is a shame. We didn't cause 9-11, but we are paying for it because of American fear. That is what reactionary action means.

We always got along with Americans, even when we didn't.

    Cheers,

    Jim

So whatever happened to "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddle masses yearning to breathe free of the wretched refuses of your teeming shores"?

Why is it a Democrat thing too?

Has anybody here seen the movie Traffic? Just curious. It is a great display of the true cost of the drug war.

I guess it died when socialism started under FDR in the 1930's.

Jim, the key sentence in your message is, "We already have some of the people from Florida that came up there to live." That in itself is speaking volumns. The U.S. isn't what we the people used to have. Vanity, all is vanity.

It is on the Statute. However that is for those who want to come here legally. No one is objecting to legal immigration as cheerful Jim and preachinjesus seem to think we are.

Idon't recall saying that we had Americans move here from Florida. I did speak of Canadians who owned property in florida for winter residences, who have given them up because of border difficulties.. Nothing to do with the average American, but silly laws between friendly neighbours for so many years.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I am out on the roads every day Cheerful Jim and I see a lot of Canadian license plates in and around Putnam County, Florida. This county is rural and is off the beaten path. I find it quite strange that if Canadians are having such a hard time getting through customs that the majority of them that do, come to Palatka, Florida??? Reason tells me that it is not as hard as you say it is.

I didn't say all stopped coming..many have sold their properties and remain home. The fact that you see many shows how much we contrbute to the American economy. Doesn't change the fact that the border is problematic compared to what it was for years.

I have difficulty because I have a British passport and live in Canada, Canadian driver's licence and Canadian address. It was never a problem before 9-11.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, about the guns crossing the border, they don't care. Our Government doesn't seem to care about stopping all those that are coming up from Mexaco, In fact they just turn their heads but just let a single person come over from Cuba in a boat, man that's a NO. NO. I think these people coming up from Mexaco, they will be the fodder to strip America from freedom. Realize one thing, our Government is cramming that stimulus package from every new network just to keep our minds from catching on what is going on down there. In Goverment, if it happens, it is meant to be.

I thought this was one of the reason's Obama hired the Gov from AZ as Homeland Security czar? She is supposed to have great incite into the problem coming from an area so hard hit with it. Of course, I remember Bush Sr. had the war on drugs, I can't remember if we won that one or not???

The war on drugs, well there is a branch of government that is instrumental in letting the drug problem to come about. Just wait and watch what happens in time.
