I know two former atheists. In fact, one of them os a pastor at a nearby church. He was a trained engineer and staunch atheist. One day, he decided to use his engineering skills to prove that there was no God. He ended up convincing himself that God was real. He went back to school, got his masters in divinity, and became an RCA pastor.
