"We Can Do It!" What, roll up your sleeves, make a fake muscle, wear a bandana and undercharge for a stamp? Not picking a fight, just wondering. ;)

    NO!
    She just kinda skeers me.
Think about it. Would you dare comment to this woman that her purse doesn't match her outfit?

    I wouldn't.

Good Grief! Do you people not know who Rosie the Riveter is?

She is a cartoon figure that represents the over 6 million women who worked in the government factories in WWII.

The men were overseas, using bombs, planes, tanks, jeeps, guns,.....

Who do you think was back home building those said items? Women. Women employed by the government to work in their factories. The Air Force even used women pilots to train their pilots before they went overseas, but that's another story.

These American women, of whom most were MARRIED, over 60% were over 35 and a third of them had children under 14, were essential to the war effort of WWII.

And when the men returned from war, they were dismissed. Dismissed of their work and dismissed of their worth.

The American war department in a effort to get men back into the factories and get the women out printed out a brochure that said...

"...women are just a substitute for male workers, like plastic is for metal..."

    Rosie, the Riveter.....gotta love her!!

    Peace-
    Scarlett O.

Watch it. That's Calvin's best friend, and the next thing you know you'll have the Calvinists upset and this will no longer be a trouble free thread.
