I love a truck race! In fact, I think I'm beginning to prefer them over stock car racing. I'm hoping hubby will take me to the truck races next month in Atlanta. They are racing Friday night under the lights. Gotta love those night races!

What about y'all? Anybody enjoy truck racing?

Ooh, I remember those! And the stock cars too. I used to do a little powder-puffing in my early years...but then along came children, well...you now how it goes. Still, I miss it & the noise, & yes, trucks were my favourite. But, I gotta tell ya, the profanity, the beer, & especially, the nakedness, has really ruined many a good family sport for me. So, now I try my best to not go where it's abundant...if only I could figure out how to stay out of the stores!

Granny, I know what you mean about the beer, profanity, etc. That can really ruin a nice day at the races for us. We usually go on Friday to see qualifying, and than again on Saturday for practice and either the ARCA or Busch race. The kids go with us on Friday, but not usually on Saturday.

Honestly, I can't see how some of those folks can even walk to their cars, much less drive home. It's really kinda scary if you think about it.

The good thing about the races being in Atlanta in the fall and spring is that it is usually cool enough that folks dress fairly decently.

P.S. I think it'd be cool to race a car or truck! I must be a redneck tomboy in disguise!

Shucks! I don't have cable and I am missing the truck race. Can't even get it on the radio here is Philly! The trucks are the best racing at Daytona. They are tall and boxy, so they can run without restrictor plates. Turck racing at Daytona actually features passes for the lead...under the green! What a concept! NASCAR's car-of-the-future will be tall and boxy so that they can run Daytona and Talledega without restrictor plates as well. I'll be glad when that happens.
