    Dating back to 1998, we have $21T in Pentagon funding that cannot be accounted for. That's about our current national debt. We need to hold the Pentagon responsible for every $ they are given. Who knows where this money went? Not the Pentagon themselves or any oversight committee. We at least need to stop raising their budget until they can account for where the money is going.

    Keep hanging on to this false narrative of $21 Trillion "lost" by the Pentagon. You realize that is twice the combined budget for the Pentagon from 1998 going forward. Maybe you should research exactly what that $21 trillion really represents before you go quoting Mother Jones news.

    No, FollowtheTrail got those numbers from either The Nation or that genius horse-faced millennial AOC. Those numbers are so bogus they even bother the leftists at Politico.

    if the situation calls for "crazy" defense spending, there will be crazy defense spending.

    and the Federal Govt has spent over 16 trillion dollars on the War on Poverty - and this amount does not include what the individual
    States/Commonwealths have spent.

    Did you realize that there are over 100 anti-poverty govt programs?
    That the average amount of assistance = exceeds $20,000,
    thus the coast per poor family of 3 = $61,830.
    Granted, the individual may not receive that amount - but that includes overhead, ect.

    and finally 15% of Americians live in poverty.

    Now, the question is WHY -
    Here are some reasons:
    lack of incentive to work
    does not want more responsibility at work (thus higher pay)
    poor spending habits
    activities that waste money (gambling, ect)
