This is a public debate between a muslim and a human secularist who walkedr away from being a muslim. She defends Christians and Jews. Very powerful. they both speak in Arabic as it was on arabic tv but contains subtitles.

While I often don't agree with the two of you politically, you have both drawn much needed attention to a severe cultural problem. Thanks for the reminder.

These are all excellent articles. Islam goes much further than being hostile to Christians and Jews. It goes to basic human rights and dignity. This is the biggest threat to our way of life as Americans (and whatever faith you are) in history. I am very thankful to hillclimber, PS 104 and 2 Tim, of reminding us this as our memories wane from 9/11.

Here is an article on how Iran treats members of the Bahai faith. While we do not agree with them, they are a gentle people, and bother no one.

That is absolutely appalling. The Baha'is are very peaceful and kind people. Persecution of people for their beliefs is a sad reminder of the evil that people can do in the name of religion. Why can't human beings let others have their own beliefs, even if they feel they are wrong. That doesn't mean we can't talk and discuss differences, and even try to share our beliefs with others, but conversion by the sword is pointless and inhuman. True conversions don't occur by force anyway...our minds always remain free...but rather true conversion is a personal matter of conviction.

Exactly, but radical Islam is following its tenets. Conversion by the sword is grossly out of step with our understandings of "freedom of religious worship", and SHOULD be disqualified from these principals we hold dear.

How anyone can claim that Islam is a peaceful religion is beyond me! It is obvious that they are anything but peaceful, either toward their enemies or toward their own people.
