Ummm, he's actually pretty controversial. In fact, someone could take your statement to be a joke. But he was a fine, moral Christian for sure.

Not much to see there, you see (no pun).
I learn a lot more watching CSI Miami, CSI NY, and Gilbert Grissom.
Anyways, I'd rather listen to the radio when it comes to anything "Christian".

    Ravi Zacharias is good.
But top of my list right now among the still living, non-Primitive Baptist preachers would be this Scottish guy over at Ohio, Alistair Begg. You just gotta hand it to him. He's Spirit filled, no doubt about it. I don't agree with all of his theology, but what I do agree with makes the Spirit in me rise up in songs of praise and adoration.

Second would be Chuch Swindoll and John Mac. Okay, okay, I know, not everybody likes JMac, but, hey, I am an electionist, what can I say, eh ?

Then among the dearly departed, who can ever turn away from that guy with that beautiful Southern Accent, Vernon McGee ? I love this guy, hope to meet him in Heaven, and by the way my health is going down, maybe soon enough.

Jack Graham will probably be third or fourth.

Jimmy Swaggart ? I like his throaty songs, that's all.

Harold Camping ? Only when I want to be entertained. But the songs and hymns in his Family Radio are great, you know.

Only one has never done anything wrong, and it isn't Graham.

I feel the same about these preachers. They sometimes regard the Gospel very lightly.

    I'm with you, Beth!

I have watched some of the Word of Faith people in the past just to see how they twist scripture so I can say I saw it for myself (I'm asked about some of these guys when I speak although my ministry does not really deal with them).

    yup

The last one I watched must have been about seven years ago now...it was Paula White...I watched for about five minutes while she was blabbing on about something while pretending to shovel something on the stage with a real shovel...you don't WANT to know what I thought she REALLY was shovelling! :saint:

To me, I can't say that I have a favorite. I like most about the same.

I know this may look bad for me being a Southern Baptist, but I'll say it: I have lost respect for Reverend Billy Graham over the years. During the 1970's he was given a government guided tour of the then Soviet Union. After being led around by what they have showed him he came back to the states saying that conditions there weren't that bad at all. He must have forgotten that they were a Communist Country.

Then during the impeachment proceedings of Bill Clinton, he was used as a tool publicly. I know that God forgives sin when you are sincere about repenting, but why make a public spectacle of it. I still believe that Bill Clinton was sorry that he was caught in a lie about committing adultery; I don't believe he was sorry for lying about committing adultery.

I will say that I prefer a pastor who has fire in his voice when he speaks. That way you are sure to listen & you know he won't go unheard.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I don't know how I ended up triple posting. I noticed it when I was editing my post. My apologies.
