He also states the putting off of the old man, the putting off of specific sins.

Yes. Evidence of the Spirit. (I John 3:9-10). The flesh gets less and less. Progressive sanctification.

Yes I agree. This is the inner desire of the regenerate; hungering and thirsting for righteousness, Matthew 5:6; and a desire to depart from iniquity, 2 Timothy 2:19.

sanctification = only an act of the Spirit of God not a process IMHO.

That act sanctifies one. Sets one apart from others for the purpose of God.

The main purpose of being sanctified is this: Rom 8:28 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

That taking place, when we are born as he was: (Col. 1:18 the firstborn from the dead ; ) Which will result in Him, Jesus being (Rom. 8:28 the firstborn among many brethren.) for then we will have obtained by inheritance the very salvation of which He, Jesus, the only begotten of God the Father the seed of Abraham, being made perfect was the author of: (Heb. 5:9,5,10 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten (Born) thee. Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.)

    The two natures of man.

    (1) And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

    (2) the last Adam (man) a quickening spirit.

Howbeit that not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

    After the resurrection.

Our struggle is not against this flesh and blood, but the schemes of the devil. We are to put on the full armor of God. God is given it to you to put it on, and the battle is already won. Paise Jesus.

    Ephesians 6:
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

    The Judgment of Satan
7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

    1 Peter 1:
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
