    1. I don't see any place to register
a problem that does not pertain to a
specific topic. So i'll start a topic
    for my complaint.

    2. Please drop the connection with

    christiantop1000.com

the server for this address is HARD down
(i.e. down for over a week):

    http://www.christiantop1000.com/cgi-bin/1000/counter.cgi?id=bboard2

This connection is called for each page view.
My brouser waits for the connection to time out.
So i'm spending about 40% of my connect time
with Baptist Board waiting for this connection
to time out. (actually, i have all i want on the
page to i have to spend my time hitting STOP
instad of reading the nice Baptist Board threads.
Please take this connection off every page.
    Thank you.

I was roaming around baptist top 1000 the other day and found a RCC site listed.

Hey Ed, I clicked Report Post a while back and hopefully whomever is in charge of that portion of the board will get it off. I'd also noticed some 'slowness' but Bellsouth Fast Access won't even send emails for 15 or more minutes and then sends duplicates!

Shouldn't this be in Announcements instead of the Welcome Forum?

I started to put it in the Announcement Forum but I'm not allowed access and/or do not have
the authority to start topics there.

BTW, it must be the Lord's Day - the server for christiantop1000.com it up and running!! [IMG]

Temporary, individual solution: Clicking the "stop" icon - if you have one on your browser - usually does the trick, but you have to do it every time. The rest of the page loads fine.

Ed, no one else seems to be having this problem! Mine load immediately and I don't even have TRUE DSL, it's that 'fake' DSL for us backwoods folk.

    Ed,

Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, download Firefox and try it.

If you do, click Tools, Extensions, Get More Extensions, then look for one called "AdBlock". Install it and restart Firefox. Every ad will have a tab on it theat says 'AdBlock'. Click the tab and that ad is blocked. I love it!

Sorry Bro. Ed, but this thread had to be moved to it's final destination - where it supposed to be started in the first place. By the way, I am glad your problem has been resolved! [IMG] [IMG]

    Hey, Ed.

You may want to try out the extension called NoScript, as well as FlashBlock.

I now use them, and basically am surfing with next to no ads, period.

Also, check out BBCode Xtra. If gives you oodles of right-click goodies, like BOLD, italics, quote, image... basically everything you use on a BB (except the Smilies). I love it, and have used it for over a year.
