Types of Christ in the Old Testament

    The whole bible is about Christ, but the point of the OP is to post "types" of Christ.

    You have to argue about everything don't you? :cool:
    Can't you just get along?

    It isn't a type, figure or shadow of Christ. That's what the OP is about.

    Might have been wise to begin this thread with pertinent definitions.

    Type - which is distinguished from:

    Metaphor (God is a Rock)

    Simile (like a Shepherd)

    Personification

    Synecdoche

    I think there are general "types" but many more are simply metaphors, similes, et al

    are we confusing types and Christophanies with some of the examples cited?

    I don't care if the proper category is type or shadow or allegory or simile or whatever; the amazing astounding fact is that these things are proof, concrete evidence, every much as is prophecy, of the supernatural that we have in our possession. It makes my heart soar at times. It magnifies and glorifies God.
