I am teaching/preaching children's church for the next month. Yesterday, I started on Noah's ark. the first 10 verses of Genesis 6. Dude. God was saddened because men everywhere were evil. He found only Noah to be righteous, because he alone walked with HIM. Sound familiar. The day is coming.

Except that homosexuality had nothing to do with Sodom and Gomorrah. I used to think the same thing, until I read the story inthe bible for myself.

    Jude said,

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

Perhaps you would like to explain the significance of "strange flesh" in this context.

Okay, Folks, Let's step back for a moment and consider what started this thread. I do not want this thread to get into an extended debate on homosexuality. This is a fellowship forum.

The cited proposal (if it stands as reported) strikes at the heart of a pulpit ministry. At the very least, what is being sought is the control of our pulpits and lecterns. This alone is cause for concern no matter what stand you take or don't take on the homosexual issue. So, let's not our digital breath on a question that has and is being dealt with elsewhere on Baptist Board. Let us focus on the issue at hand.

In His service and to the praise of His glory,
    Keith
