U.S. Military Accused of Handing Out Bibles in Afghanistan

I have heard that in those areas you have to keep your Bible well hidden, or the locals go nuts.

 

The military handing out Bibles? That's hard to believe. I remember the generic preaching they did in the military so that after basic training I had to look for a church outside the base in order to get some "meat" with the preaching.

Also, I worked over 28 years at a VA Medical Center and was told I couldn't witness there. That is federal government just like the military. I know because my military counted toward my retirement from the VA.

 

We're supposed to take the word of Al Jazeera that this is happening?!? Really?!?

 

Great if it's true that people are reading the Bible in their own language. I read once there used to be Baptist churches in Afghanistan, long ago.
