    UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday stressed the need for "global leadership" as he pressed world leaders not to pursue narrow national interests in the face of hard economic times.

    I think these are wise words and it is the responsibility of the UN chief to make them since the reason the UN was formed was to encourage dialogue among nations in order to promote peace.
