UN hypocrisy?

    Got the following in an e-mail, and have been unable to ascertain if true or not.

    Somehow though, wouldn't surprise me if it is true. I'll let your biases determine your acceptance or rejection.

    I have no information to confirm or deny. But it's not a surprise, at all, if it is true. In fact, I'd be more surprised if it weren't true.

    Of any single nation, the US wields the greatest influence in the UN. Why is it that so many US citizens despise the very idea of the United Nations?

    On This one point most conservatives agree. Neocons included.

    The UN is more of a problem than it is a solution.

    Wow, I don't know how you can say that!

    There is no question, it is a solution, not a problem, it is so wishy washy, how could it be anything but a solution :)

    Standard practice is for the UN to lower its flag to half-staff when a sitting head of state dies. If Reagan had died while he was in office, the same thing would have happenned.
