RCC Parishes around the USA are trying to hide assets or shield them from victims of abuse at the hands of employees, priests, bishops, and cardinals. In other words, if a person sues, the RCC will say that there is no money to compensate them because the money will be moved to a hidden account or to another account of some type. For example, in Detroit, all real estate properties were transferred to the Archbishop himself under the name of Mooney Real Estate Holdings. The Archbishop will own everything. It is not clear what is to keep an archbishop from stealing everything since it will all be in his name. This is going on all over the country.

"Traditionally, abuse victims have been able to sue the priest as well as the archdiocese. Under the new regime in Detroit, this will no longer be possible. The abuse victim may only sue the priest and the parish where he ministered. The Detroit archdiocese will be out of reach — along with its millions in assets."

It looks like the only cure for this mess is for people to still attend services but to stop giving any money. Imagine your child as a victim and then being told that there was no money to compensate you for damages because the Archbishop had all the money in his own bank account. The lawyers for Detroit must be in Philadelphia.
