Tbilisi, February 20 (Prime-News) – The USA intends to use the airports in Georgia for its invasion in Iran, The Jerusalem Post says, as quoting one of the high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Georgia.

According to it, the official representatives of Washington have already applied to the Georgian authorities to discuss possible deployment of the US troops in Georgia.

A while ago the representatives of the government of Georgia said that the Georgian party was anxious about backlash by Iran on prospective use of Georgia by the USA for invasion in Iran, but they were unable to prevent the initiation its strategic political and financial partner.

According to the newspaper, the Georgian experts in politics admit that Georgia is more likely to be used as a transit rout for the USA Air Forces, not as a military base.

If President Bush dares to authorize this without solid proof that Iran actually intends to build a nuclear weapon and actually intends to use such a nuclear weapon to attack us or one of our allies, then I will be in full support of his immediate impeachment.

Also, an invasion of Iran will be at least four times more difficult than conquering and the subduing Iraq has proven to be.

It would be folly for the U.S. to invade Iran. May God save the U.S. from such an unwise move being made.

It would be stupid not to be considering the possibility of war.

Impeachment for what? Doing something you don't like?

There were no WMDs in Iraq. Bush is lucky that he isn't impeached over that. To invade Iran when there is no proof that it is trying to even build a nuclear weapon would be simply the final straw. Bush would have to be impeached if this country had any sense left at all.

You are right on one account, KenH. The invasion of Iran would be much more difficult, and I honestly don't know how we'd do it unilaterally without a draft.

If it does come to conflict, I hope the UN does the fighting.

Bush should be impeached for failing to defend and protect our borders and not upholding his oath of office.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

You can't impeach someone just because you don't like them or think they're incompetent. Impeachment is for "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

I personally think Bush has done a lousy job regarding securing our border with Mexico. However, I don't think that this amounts to treason or any other high crime. Perhaps if it could be proven that Bush knew without a shadow of a doubt that Iraq had no WMD he might be impeachable. However, good luck doing that. Everyone suspected or believed that they had WMD--I think even the Iraqis thought they had WMD (I think they were stashed or exported years ago). It's not something like Bill Clinton's situation where you knew that he knew that he did have sex with that woman.

Really people are talking about impeachment like it's something like a vote of no confidence, when it's actually bringing someone up on criminal charges. You can't really do that without evidence of a crime.

    This is true.

    This too is true.

Did they? Or were they simply working off the intelligence provided by the Administration?

Amazing that this is always brought up. The crime was perjury. If we find out that the Administration lied about the surveillance program, would you feel the same way that you do about the whole Lewinsky affair?

As the GOP controls both houses, there will not be an investigation anyway. I guess we will never know....

You can't tell me Bush's nefarious influence extends to misinforming other nations' intelligence agencies about Iraq.

Not really so amazing as I had just said in the previous sentence that we don't know that Bush consciously lied (that is, perjured himself) while we do know that Clinton did. Additionally it's not really particularly amazing because the subject is impeachment, and by golly Clinton was impeached. I would be more amazed if no one happened to think of Clinton since only he and Andrew Jackson have ever been impeached (Nixon dodged the bullet).

I don't think it would ever be possible to prove the administration knew 100% that Iraq didn't have WMD, especially since we can't know 100% ourselves that Iraq didn't.

Actually, we do know that since no WMDs have been found in almost three years.

There were WMD's in Iraq, everyone but you and a few others in here knows that. If there were anything worthy of impeachment, it would have been done.

US must do something to stop Iran's Nuke development as a matter of urgency.
    The earlier, the better.

C'mon guys. What's the problem here? We can't build a democratic world government without slaughtering millions and controlling all the earth's resourses. They have to be redistributed equally and fairly wazzamattafou?

You do believe in democracy equality and fairness right?
