Any idea what it was over?

    Was it over love?

    Islam?

    Were they picked on?

It will be interesting to see how the media places blame/excuses.

It is sad for the students and the families of those who have died.

    We are praying here.

Either way it is still the deadliest college shooting in history. MSNBC is also reporting 22 dead. :tear: My prayers go out to the families and other victims, they are all that matter right now, imo, not the shooter. :praying:

I'm listening to MSNBC and I heard 31 dead. There was a student who was saying that he lined up a group of students and shot them all at one point. How utterly horrible. Jesus - come quickly!!

CNN and Fox both reporting 32 dead. 31 students and the gunmen. Horrible.

They just played a video that someone took from close to the buildning. You could clearly here the shots. Bam bam bam...many many times...and then BAM!. The last one was MUCH louder. Much more percussive sounding.

It could be that the last one was a law enforcement officer finally getting a clear shot and taking out the gunmen with a high powered rifle.

I wonder....where was this person and what was he doing for the 2 hours between the 1st shot in the dorm and the ones that came in the 2nd building?

A terrible tragedy. My prayers are for the families.

    Just terrible, very terrible. :tear:

As one who works on a University campus, and attends graduate school on a University campus, this kind of thing makes me very nervous. In fact our school has announced a workshop tomorrow on campus security (etc). However I guess things like this happen in a fallen and sinful world. That's why we need to be walking with the Lord so that if something tragic does happen we still have a glorious hope.

I pray for the families and friends of those killed and injured. I also pray for the family of the guy who carried out this brutal deed. :praying:

As for the shooter, no prayers for him, his fate is sealed (Rev 21:8).

Shysters are already licking their chops about this. It's easy to hundreds of millions in lawsuits because the first shooting, resulting in 2 deaths, occured 2 hours in a dormitory before the massacre of 30 took place in the engineering building across the campus.

That is the least of anyone's concern now. There are many, many family and friends who are hurting about as deeply as one can hurt tonight. Frankly, at this point in time, why on earth would you leap way into the future to speculate on a continuation of man's sin expressed as greed over this tragic incident. I am quite sure if you are that interested in the continuing saga, you can watch CNN, FOX, and MSNBC for days and absorb it all.

May God bless, comfort, and extend His grace to those that are hurting. There is no depth to man's sin and depravity. This is pure evil.

According to gun rights activists such as Aaron Zelman of Jews For The Preservation of Firearms, VA Tech has "blood on its hands" for disarming the victims and other students who could potentially have stopped the killer in his tracks in the three hour time period he was allowed to carry out his rampage by cowardly police who hid behind trees as the carnage ensued.
Reuters is already disseminating the talking points for an imminent propaganda coup against the Second Amendment, and yet it was the stripping of that right to bear arms that ensured today's death toll represents the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. SOURCE

I read that, and wanted to post it, but decided to wait for two or three days before talking about this aspect. I agree with Zelman, an armed population would have been able to stop this.

It's not a cheap political point. An armed population could have stopped this.

It also demonstrates just how dangerous a Guliani presidency would be.

    I was reading this also...

Eyewitness Matt Kazee told the Alex Jones Show that it was a full two to three hours after the shootings began that loudspeakers installed around the campus were used to warn students to stay indoors and that a shooter was on the loose.
Quite how the killer was afforded so much time before any action was taken to stop him is baffling, especially considering the fact that the campus, according to Kazee, was crawling with police before the event happened due to numerous bomb threats that had been phoned in last week.
The shootings came three days after a bomb threat Friday forced the cancellation of classes in three buildings, WDBJ in Roanoke reported. Also, the 100,000-square-foot Torgersen Hall was evacuated April 2 after police received a written bomb threat, The Roanoke Times reported. SOURCE

The government either cannot or will not protect us no matter how many speeches and promises they make and laws they pass or Biometric national ID cards they issue.

They don't know the motive yet. They haven't identified the shooter yet because he had no ID on him.

He was reportedly Asian, not a student, and blew half of his own face off. Police are working to ID him from the 2 guns found near the body.

My heart aches for the families of those who have lost loved ones - this is very tragic indeed.

I think this is because it has become standard for everyone to persume that everything that goes wrong has something to do with terrorism or Islam. In this manner the terrorist have already won, when we're afraid for now apparent reason.

My heart goes out to the many families and friends that were involved in this.
