vbs circus theme

    Vacation bible school this year is a circus theme
    any ideas out there ?

    We aren't doing a circus theme this year. We are doing the Kingdom Capers (spy) theme.

    What are the Bible Stories?

    The stories we've picked this year are:
    1. Eve and the serpent 2. Daniel and the lion's den
    3. Balaam and his donkey and we may also do that day Jesus riding on the donkey and what it ment.
    4.David and the lion and bear
    5. we are praying on doing Elisha and the bear. Because of the violence we are not sure if we should or not. Kids however can relate to being made fun of. So presently we are gathering ideas on how to tastefully decarate and get some craft ideas. This project is very important to me because its the first time I'm really fully heading up vacation bible school (reguraly I co anchor )but this year its coming right after are June camp meeting and the other main anchor is that main anchor! Are first meeting will be later this month.

    Trying to find a copy of "God's Strange Preachers". Same company that did this (very inexpensive VBS books, supplies) did a circus theme. We did it in our church 25+ years ago and had carnival-type activities and a tent and all.

    Attracted BIG crowds of neighborhood kids and shared the Gospel with hundreds, literally. And as many as were ordained to eternal life believed!

    Will keep searching files, but man, that was 3 churches ago . . . :rolleyes:
