Only in black letter type. Single column, paragraph indentions, and no verse numbers, because they had not been invented yet. Verse numbers in English came in 1557 1557 Geneva New Testament Facsimile.

I always use the verse format. Especially in a forum post where brevity means a lot. Also whatever happened to "memory verses". I still use KJV largely because all my memory verses come from it.

Depends on the translation and other features in the Bible in question.

Some consider it heresy for a KJV to be anything other than verse format.

With modern translations, I prefer paragraph style with verse numbers inside the paragraph or in the margin.

I actually would love a paragraph format, maybe people would be less inclined to take verses out of context that way

Larger font size -- that can be good for aging eyes and those wishing to slow down their reading/comprehension speed. :)

Yes, for study and referencing parallel verses and common topics, I like the verse by verse format. But that format can include paragraph markings and topic subheadings to help us grasp the immediate context.

The format of my Zondervan NASB Study Bible is pretty good, in my opinion, but besides "bolding" the verse number for the first verse in new paragraphs, I wish they had also increased its font size, as sometimes I am unsure whether a verse number has been bolded.
