I'm not, I'm telling the truth.
Then why do they all disagree? The KJB translates it perfectly, not the MVs.
</font>[/QUOTE]They didn't translate it perfectly unless they were directly inspired by God... and as I have proven, they are not biblically qualified.

You are the only one recently I have seen here trying to change the Bible to make it fit what you want. You point to several passages of scripture as "proof" that the KJV is perfect... yet those scriptures say nothing about the KJV or translations or even physical copies of a text.

You are still laboring under the notion that if you believe it... then God must have meant it no matter what He actually said.

you shouldn't repeat yourself. Once is enough of a reminder for us around here. And redundancy is repetitive all over again.

Statements like this only show ignorance and complete lack of knowledge concerning this issue.
Show proof KJV is God's preserved words. You guys crack me up [IMG] you just picked a version any version and decided that it was the Word of God. [IMG] very sad. You have said before we have to accept the KJV is God's Word just by faith. Well I accept the ISV by faith that it is God's Word. THE END. [IMG]

(p.s. because I believe this everyone else must to or their not using God's Word. There I started my own movement.)

If anyone challenges you on it, you can just say God corrected what was already in existence. If anyone challenges you about THAT, just tell them that if they understood they would understand.

'Fraid not, dear. I didn't "pick" it...it was always there, as it was for my kith and kin. It picked me & has kept me safe and sound all these years. Never knew there was anything 'else' till the '70s, and I wasn't interested in giving up something that brought me such peace and satisfaction.

I take great offaence to Christian posters
who belitle Jesus by using a small "h"
in "he" when they refer to my Blessed and
Holy, Lord and Savior: Jesus, the Christ.
Likewise for using little "h" "he" for
God the Father or God the Holy Spirit.

I am not offended nor mislead nor cause
    to doubt when the
KJV1769 Bible uses a simile or metaphor
of "the Morning Star" for the King of
    Babylon (a type of Satan).

I am not offended nor mislead nor cause
to doubt when the KJV1769 Bible
    calls Jesus "the Christ".
(the phrase "the Christ" is used 19 times
    in the KJV1769)

    Think what you just said.
    What is the differenc between
"Bright Morning Star" and "Bright and Morning
    Star".

    Here is the difference.
"Bright and Morning Star" indicates that
both BRIGHT and MORNING modify STAR.
In ""Bright Morning Star" there are two
    possible meanings:
    1. both BRIGHT and MORNING modify STAR
    2. BRIGHT modifies MORNING and MORNING
modifies STAR. SO then it is speaking
of a star on a BRIGHT MORNING.
    This second meaning is trivial.

And the differnce with no AND and with
the AND is? The doctrine changed because
    of the difference is what?

Thou knowest I love to praise Jesus in 17th Century talk:

Well, I'm glad to see my little picking at the scab of KJVonly fallacy has brought intelligent discussion.

ANYONE with a brain can see that the lion reference to Jesus and the lion reference to satan might use the same metaphor but are not the same.

And so with a number of other words used of both Jesus and satan.

ANYONE with a brain. Sadly, some of are fighting unarmed . . [IMG]

    Incorrect.

As I have shared with you all the FACT that Satan is NEVER REFERRED to as morning star. There are no other scripture referrences indicating this, and God always defines and explains with other scriptures. The only scriptures that speak of THE MORNING STAR are speaking of Jesus Christ. There is not any other scriptures referring, nor implying that Satan is the morning star, or even like the morning star.

I most definately have a "brain" and I can see this clear as day. The difference is however, my brain has not, and is not clouded/brainwashed by mans wisdom and understanding. My understanding comes from the Lord Jesus Christ.

love in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour,

Michelle said "The only scriptures that speak of THE MORNING STAR are speaking of Jesus Christ."

Again with the circular arguments. When you understand, you will understand.

I was just made an issue of this this morning with a friend of mine from college. I got an email from him condemning MBBC in Watertown and wanting others who are grads or former students there to join in a petition to Dr. Jaspers about the use of the MV's. In the particular portion I got from my friend, it had Psalms 35:12, I believe and how it differed in the different translations.

I brought this very subject up. It was inferred by this friend a few months back that MBBC was allowing MV's to take over and that words describing Christ and lucifer in the same terms were used in the MV's. I pointed out that the KJV did the same. It's apparently made him angry. Good friend, but very much KJVO. I doubt he'll accept that the KJV does indeed do the same thing.

Actually they don't "all disagre". This is a perceptual
difficulty you have. I find this agreement
problem frequently in IFBs. One IFB cannot
get along with the next IFB, how can they hope
to accomplish something when they can't
agree on anything, not even what the scripture
    means? [IMG]

You're right. They don't all disagree. It is sort of like when you have four people in the room together witnessing the same event. You are going to get 4 different translations of the event, some parts in total agreement, and some with what would seem like discrepancies, though they wouldn't be discrespancies at all. Now, with IFBs...well, I'll keep my mouth shut on that.

In other words, the KJV is never wrong because Michelle (the final authority on Bible versions) says so but MV's are always wrong because they differ from the wording of the KJV.

It is truly sad to see someone sink so deeply into KJVOnlyism that they assert divine authority for their own unfounded, unscriptural opinions.

This seems to me to be another useless exercise in futility, I don’t why we allow ourselves to get roped into them.

The most effective strategy that the KJVO have is the event where somehow the rules of engagement get changed in the middle of the thread but never to our advantage.
Relevant things somehow become irrelevant (especially if things are looking bad).
Definitions of words and concepts are magically changed midstream.

The result: Suddenly we become “ignorant” because we are unable to understand because we just don’t understand.

BTW, metaphor is metaphor. In fact there is a picture of Jesus Christ in the Scripture portrayed as a serpent, the favorite scriptural image of you-know-who.

    Numbers 21:8-9
And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

    John 3:14-15
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
