I believe many of the worst Bush haters are still nursing a mad from 2000.

Could be but I expect the biggest share of them just love their country more than they love "the great leader" and what he's done to put the country they love on the path to dictatorship.

The notion that there is no Islamic threat in the world and to America ranks right up there with 911 was not caused by terrorists. Pure tinfoil hat stuff.

Tinfoil hat stuff? quaint. The notion that Iraq engineered the 9/11 attacks, the notion that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, the notion that this war was well thought out and executed, the notion that there has been any kind of leadership behind the war in Iraq, the notion that our borders are under control, the notion that the budget is balanced, the notion that social security and medicare are reformed, the notion that we went after those who did attack us with all of our might, then notion that something has been done about abortion, after six years of a republican president and congress is not tinfoil stuff, it is baloney, and quite pathetic. The real notion is there is not a dime's worth of difference between liberal Bush and his opponents.

The real "terrorists" in America that do the most damage to this nation wear suits and hang out in the halls of Congress.
All the while aiding and abetting those who will destroy this country from within, without a shot being fired.

Sounds like you are talking about the current occupant of the White House except I wouldn't call him a "terrorist". I think he has allowed himself to be used by the neocons for their hopes of creating American worldwide hegemony.

It has been an all encompassing quest of the radical Democrats, to never, ever, allow Congress to fall back to the Republicans. Congress should be "owned" by the Dem's. If they can win the White House, so much the better.

I hit no trees, but saw a family of big horn sheep, my dog just about had a heart attack trying to herd them, (he's an Aussie blue-heeler-husky mix) and had a wonderful soak in Quinns hot springs, what a great weekend.

I see the fact-checking has died down, and my original point I believe has been validated, that there are servicefolks who do support the war. I support the overthrow of Sadaam, but I think that there will be a civil war in Iraq, and the U.S. won't be able to stop it.

Glad to hear you had a good time and returned safely.

I believe the servicefolks are split, just as the civilians are in support or opposition of this war.

I believe civil war in Iraq has always been planned, as is the one for the U.S.

    Possibly.

Or I could just as easily be talking about Durbin, Clinton, Kennedy, Pelosi, et al.

Or just about any other liberal defeatist appeaser you care to name.

    All the Way!

(Paratroopers are taught to never give up; their motto is “All the Way, Airborne!”)

The way I see Liberals, when all’s said and done,
Is like those who’d fall out of their last jump school run.
We all started those runs with the will to succeed,
But for some the pain just surpassed their need,
To stand in that door in the blast of the props,
To go all the way, pulling out all the stops,
Accepting the challenge that stood you up here,
Your feet in the door, your heart pounding with fear.

Some folks are quitters, who fall by the way,
While others run past them, determined to stay,
Enduring the aches, sucking glory through pain,
For the jump wings they seek and the glory they gain.
“All the way,” is their hymn, the cadence they sing,
    As they blow past the burn, reaching for the brass ring;
But the quitters fall out; they can’t handle the pain,
Ensuring only the best and the hardest remain.

War is like jump school, the going gets rough,
And playing at tough is just not enough.
It’s the spirit within you that says you won’t quit,
Proves that you’re worthy, proves that you’re fit,
To fight on in combat when comrades are falling,
To fight for your life, for your cause, for your calling,
With never a thought you might possibly yield,
And never one thought of retreat from the field.

Those who toughed out those runs, stood in that door,
    Don’t understand those who won’t fight anymore;
Can’t fathom their calls for retreat from Iraq,
Calls to pull out our troops, to bring them all back,
Thank goodness we’ve men who’ll stand in that door
And go all the way till the fight is no more.
Paratroopers are winners, who’ll stay ‘til it’s done,
But most Libs are quitters, who won’t finish the run.
