Do those games really even exist anymore? Maybe if you still own an Atari system. I don't believe I stated that the games cause kids to commit school shootings but I believe they contribute.

Of course good wholesome video games still exist. Mario (and all his pals) are still huge. I could list many Mario titles that are absolutely fine for any age child to play. You also have games like Sonic the Hedgehog, most sports games, and many racing games that are great. Titles like Civilization, Legend of Zelda, Lego Star Wars, Worms, Cars, and Spongebob are all good games and OK for kids to play.

The point is that there are tons of video games that are perfectly fine for kids to play. Painting all video games with a broad brush and classifying the same as games like Call of Duty or Halo is just silly.

I won't even point out the problem there.
That's the whole idea here. No one is saying to let your kids play video games indiscriminately.
This is a false assumption not supported by any data at all. Except in the rare case of games like Grand Theft Auto, most shooters condemn murder. In most shooters, you are only allowed to kill hostiles, and must leave innocents alone. So, that statement is false, even when only taking into account shooters, which is only one genre among many. Sports games don't teach murder. Driving sims don't teach murder. Party games don't teach murder.
What percentage of video game users go to school and kill people? For that matter, what percentage of "violent" video game users do? Only a handful out of millions. If you use this as evidence, then you could easily say that church contributes to divorce, since church goers have a higher rate of divorce than violent video game users have of shooting people at school.
Also, people were killing people long before video games. Studies have shown that video games (even violent ones) actually contribute to a decrease in crime. For instance:

So, before you go blaming something, look at the facts.
Exactly how did Pac Man teach killing? You couldn't even kill the ghosts. You could only turn them incorporeal until the went back to their home box.

The problem here is not violence. God is not against violence. In the Old Testament, He commanded His people to anihilate an entire race. The problem is not violence. It is unwarranted violence that is the problem.
