No, it's all because we have an incompetent President who lies in an attempt to cover his ineptitude.

Guess what the President IS INCOMPETENT!

    STUBBOURN (The negative kind)

    LAZY

    INCURIOUS

HIS PAST SPEAKS OF WHO HE IS

DID HE ACCEPT CHRIST ON HIS TERMS???

HE LOSES THE CIVIL WAR {the flesh}MORE TIME THAN HE HAS WON

    SPOILED

    PRICKINESS

    VINDICTIVE

    REVENGEVUL

    OBCESSED WITH EXERCISE...NARCISISM???

OBSCENE JESTURES IN THE PAST AND PRESENT

CURSING OTHERS IN THE PUBLIC AND BELITTLEING OTHERS IN PUBLIC.

Where is that Baptist elder/deacon board to take this rebellious baby christian to the wood shed??? or do Christians just want to keep on enabling a bad performers because "he is the president...we dare not say anything ..because my golly he is the president...surely Gods hand is in that...my golly did we mention that he is
    King...I mean the President"

I would bet it all that Al Gore knows Gods word ten times better than George W. Bush.

Bush may very well be mentally ill and needs to reach out for help...and I have said that way is
through his father...then kill or capture osama bin laden...without one of those two he will be the worst 8 year president ever.

The bush culture has hurt this great nation and its sycophant's enable it with its blame and not taking responsibility.

Machiavelli and Goebbels would be the only fans of bush and rove culture if they were
alive today.(Push the propaganda forward types)

And one other thing Horses do not like bush and that tells me a lot...a horse can detect who is
good and who is not good and bush in all his phony cowboy swagger does not even come close to a horse.

Me too, although it means nothing.

Satan knows the scripture better than any of us.

Actually from published reports Gore is a tree hugger, which probably means that his theology is pantheistic!

From the way you spread it it seemed obvious that you know a lot about horses; but on second thought you really don't need to know anything about horses to spread organic fertilizer.

I don't see a lie anywhere here, either.

Hindsight is 20/20, and President Bush, and many others, could not guess as to how exactly bad it would be. From what I saw from these reports, he was briefed on worst-case scenarios, not as to what exactly was going to happen.

Now if he had been told that the levees would certainly break and people needed evacuation NOW, then a case could be made. But he was not. Again, no lie.

I don't understand why certain people keep accusing the president of lying. I have never seen him lie about anything. To accuse the president of lying is a very serious charge and I would be very cautious of doing so, lest I have to give an account of it to God.

I'm not going to write everything I'd like to about this!

Why don't we all take turns listing our own mistakes of the past and see how long the list gets. Mine would probably be longer than both yours and the President's put together.

What matters more, however, is what we're doing today and why we're doing it. We've all come from the same state - hopelessly lost in total depravity unable to even recognize our own condition much less do anything about it.

Anyone who comes to Christ does so because of the Holy Spirit's irresistible and effectual call. There are no "terms" to accept or reject. It can not be resisted. There is no negotiation with the Lord.

I struggle with this constantly and there's nothing about my "flesh" that's able to resist sin. The only way we resist sin is by the power of the Holy Spirit in us. I'm sure it's the same for the President and you as well.

Fortunately, in this nation, we don't have to be "afraid" to point out those things about the President's actions we don't like nor to praise those things we like nor to defend him for those of which he is unjustly critized.

He is not a King but he is our chief executive officer duly elected and empowered by the people to serve them. A measure of respect is due such a person even if not commanded by our Constitution.

What do you mean by "baby" Christian? Is that a description you apply to brothers and sisters you consider "lower" than yourself? Is there a point at which you become a "grown up" Christian? Being a Christian doesn't make us any better than anyone else. There are no ranks among us. Some fellows argued over that once and ended up getting their story recorded in the Bible.

We are not the object of attention nor the measure of worth. That object is the Lord Jesus who we worship and seek to follow. That measure is the Lord Jesus who is perfect in all things. There is nothing good about us other than that which He implants in us. Anyone one of us is no more worthy than the other of the gift of salvation we've received through no merit of our own.

I don't know how well George Bush or Al Gore know the scriptures. I'm not looking to either of them to preach for my church.

If "blame" is a measure of the "Bush culture", whatever that means, then surely you've demonstrated your full endorsement of it.

Did you learn this from God's word through Al Gore?

It is hard to tell from this thread who has been through a hurricane, but my grandparents lost a house in 1969 in Camille, and my Dad last year in Katrina. I lived through the first one, and through the many weeks that followed with the hot summer, no electricity, no utilities, limited food, etc... There is a lot of suffering down there about now. Some are still living in tents in the smaller towns.

Yes, maybe the government was a little slow on all levels, but the government is there for temporary help. We are all responsible for our own care in the final analysis.

There are a lot of things Bush does I do not like. But, he is not responsible for the hurricane. Get OFF him about this and debate something he has done wrong.

I'm not happy with this part of what I wrote!
It was wrong of me to use God's name so lightly - even untentionally as this was - and also to bring doubt upon Al Gore's knowledge of God's word - something I don't know one way or the other - even in jest such as this was. I apologize for doing this.

I have been on this Forum for about 15 months. I withdrew for about 6 months because of the rancor on the Forum of which I was a part.

During the time I have spent on this Forum I have read that Bush is a liar more times than I have read that Jesus Christ is Lord. That is disgraceful, particularly when President Bush is a brother in Christ. One must question whether this Forum [Politics] is being used by those who are not Christians simply to beat up on President Bush.

Only a single minded Bush Hater would think that the President would have time to read Corps of Engineering reports.</font>[/QUOTE]OldRegular:

You have been called on this previously, and yet you continually repeat this.

So, one more time in yet another forum:
If there has been anyone who has proclaimed a hatred for the President, then by all means provide us with the proof. Until you have, stop bearing false witness.

Until you can furnish this seemingly evasive proof, it is precisely what you are doing.

    Regards anyway,
    BiR

People do not continuously and untruthfully call a brother in Christ a liar unless they have hatred for that person in their heart. If you can't understand that, tough! :D :D :D
