A Christian political activist is fearful there may already be widespread voter fraud in critical swing states like Ohio, where the controversial group ACORN has been conducting registration drives.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, commonly known as ACORN, has already gotten into hot water in Nevada, where the Secretary of State's office recently seized records and computers from its Las Vegas office. The New York Post reports that two Ohio voters, including a Domino's Pizza worker, say they have been hounded by ACORN representatives to register several times, even though they made it clear they had already signed up.

ACORN may need to change some of the procedures used in voter registration efforts. However, this needs to be done in a way so as not to disenfranchise the poor and downtrodden from exercising their right to vote.

Until they can be sure this is done with zero fraud there should be no efforts by them in voter registration.

Maybe we should exclude all those battleground states from the election until they get their act together. You can blame ACORN (and I do also) but the election board should have a fraud plan in place. From the looks of things you can go county to county or even repeatedly to the same office and register over and over again. You can also download the form from the site and mail it all you want. I can't believe they don't have the means of verifying who lives in their county, who is a convicted felon and who actually registered to vote.

The election board can but cannot meet the influx they are being bombarded with. Acorn should have to verify each registrant before they turn it in.

By law ACORN has to turn in every card they receive. They can't go pulling out cards or folks would be saying they pulled out the republican cards and left the democrats. And Ohio doesn't have a system to address this problem, the attorney general won't release the records that are needed to verify.

Then Acorn shouldn't be allowed to do it.

This one is going to be a mess because of Acorn. There will be legal challenge after legal challenge. All very legitimate

The "poor and downtrodden" are not being prevented from exercising their right to vote. They, like everyone else, can go to their local secretary of state's office and register. Organizations like ACORN or anything else are not needed.

And Florida in Florida as well. The Dems mess it up in both states.

More like "politicians" mess it up in both states. Surely as a Florida resident you cannot forget the probe into how Jeb Bush and his administration purged so-called felons from the records leaving some legistimate voters unable to vote. It cuts both ways, and it is wrong regardless of who is behind it.

Probe? And the outcome was what? It was the Dems that created the fiasco with hanging and dimpled chads trying to create votes all the while working to deny the military votes. Give me a break.

So you are denying that it was a problem, even though Jeb Bush himself said that there were mistakes?

There is a difference in unintentional mistakes and the blatant dishonesty of the Dems in 2000 with hanging and dimpled chads all the while working to deny the votes of the military and at the same time crying out "all votes should count. Again gve me a break.
