    The BMA (or BMAA) is the Baptist Missionary Association of America, a mostly southern association of missionary Baptist churches that separated from the American Baptist Association in 1950/51. Some statistics may be found in the "Denominational Discussions" forum under a topic called "Baptist Groups in the US".

    Thomas Williamson is a personal friend of mine and definitively Baptist. This work has been in print for a number of years and is of the best scholarship. I would recommend it to any one.
