War as a government Stimulus plan

I suggest that you read about World War II and the massive industrial build up that the United States engaged in to win that war. The amount of money we have spent on Afghanistan and Iraq beyond what we would have spent in the defense budget anyway is no more than petty cash compared to what we spent during World War II on American industry.
