Not a fan of Roberts, but I like the term "presstitutes". Fits very well.

New Russian military might on full display in Syria

HEMEIMEEM AIRBASE, Syria — Sleek combat jets loaded with precision bunker-buster bombs roar into the skies as soldiers in desert-style uniforms march past rows of neat housing at this Russian military base at one of Syria’s largest airports.

The air campaign in Syria, Russia’s first military action outside the former Soviet Union since the war in Afghanistan, shows a revamped Russian military, which sharply differs in both capability and mindset from the old, Soviet-style force.

It is capable of quickly projecting power far from Russian borders, widely uses drones and precision weapons, and cares about soldiers’ comfort.

Syrian troops launch ground offensive in central regions

DAMASCUS, Syria — Syrian government troops launched a ground offensive today in the country’s central region under cover of Russian airstrikes, a Damascus official said. And in the first salvo from the sea, Russian warships fired missiles into Syria, with Moscow saying they were targeting militants.

The latest developments — exactly a week after Russia began launching airstrikes in Syria — add a new layer to the fray in the complex war that has torn this Mideast country apart since 2011.

Moscow has mainly targeted central and northwestern Syria, strategic regions that are the gateway to President Bashar Assad’s strongholds in Damascus, and along the Mediterranean coast. But the strikes appear to have given Assad new confidence to try to retake some lost ground.

U.S. Strategy Plan Calls for Insuring No Rivals Develop A One-Superpower World

Pentagon’s Document Outlines Ways to Thwart Challenges to Primacy of America
By Patrick E. TylerSpecial to The New York Times

WASHINGTON, March 7 – In a broad new policy statement that is in its final drafting phase, the Defense Department asserts that America’s political and military mission in the post-cold-war era will be to ensure that no rival superpower is allowed to emerge in Western Europe, Asia or the territories of the former Soviet Union.

A 46-page document that has been circulating at the highest levels of the Pentagon for weeks, and which Defense Secretary Dick Cheney expects to release later this month, states that part of the American mission will be “convincing potential competitors that they need not aspire to a greater role or pursue a more aggressive posture to protect their legitimate interests.”

The classified document makes the case for a world dominated by one superpower whose position can be perpetuated by constructive behavior and sufficient military might to deter any nation or group of nations from challenging American primacy.

Wolfowitz Doctrine is an unofficial name given to the initial version of the Defense Planning Guidance for the 1994–99 fiscal years (dated February 18, 1992) authored byUnder Secretary of Defense for PolicyPaul Wolfowitz and his deputy Scooter Libby. Not intended for public release, it was leaked to the New York Times on March 7, 1992,[1]and sparked a public controversy about U.S. foreign and defense policy. The document was widely criticized as imperialist as the document outlined a policy of unilateralismand pre-emptive military action to suppress potential threats from other nations and prevent any other nation from rising to superpower status.

    Syrian War: The Prequel

2007 New Yorker Article Exposed US-Israeli-Saudi Conspiracy to Overthrow Assad.
    by Tony Cartalucci

      • Muslim Brotherhood is funded by & serves as the primary instrument of US, Israel, & Saudi Arabia.
      • Lebanon was designated as staging ground to destabilize Syria with sectarian extremists.
      • Saudi and Muslim Brotherhood anti-Israeli and American sentiments are feigned.
      • US intelligence knew in advance unleashing sectarian extremists would result in genocide.
      • Saudis & Americans admit sectarian extremists - the foundation of Al Qaeda - are under their control.
May 10, 2012 - As previously stated, the Muslim Brotherhood and various "hardline" sectarian political factions sweeping into power in the wake of the US-engineered "Arab Spring," have been feigning anti-Israeli and anti-Western sentiments in an attempt to swell their ranks with followers before ultimately forming a united sectarian-front against Iran.

The creation of a united sectarian-front was noted by geopolitical analyst Dr. Webster Tarpley who hasfrom the beginning stated that the various possible governments resulting from these engineered revolutions "could then be used to support the fundamental US-UK strategy for the Middle East, which is to assemble a block of Arab and aligned sectarian countries (notably Egypt, Saudis, Gulf states, and Jordan) which, formed into a front with the participation of Israel, would collide with the Iranian Shiite front, including Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, and various radical forces."

    < snip >

Clearly, what has been recently portrayed by the West as mere "claims" by the Syrian government that the Saudis, Lebanese, and NATO were conspiring against them, is simply the fruition of the US policy exposed fully in the New Yorker in 2007. While many analysts have treated the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and their involvement in Syria's uprising as a somewhat nebulous phenomenon, the New Yorker's 2007 makes it clear that the Brotherhood is one of the primary instruments used by the Saudis as part of a US-Israeli-Saudi effort to eliminate Syria and Iran. Not only that, but the report indicates that the US itself has been funding and using the Muslim Brotherhood as well.

Just as the US State Department feigned shock and confusion at the "Arab Spring" it had been preparing for the last 3 years, it is likewise reacting with feigned confusion and dismay over the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in the "Arab Spring's" wake. In reality it is a premeditated consequence of US foreign policy spanning both the Bush and now the Obama administrations.

US Sends Troops To Syria: Here Are The Questions The Media Should Be Asking

On Friday, The White House announced that the US is set to put boots on the ground in Syria.

Predictably, virtually no one in the mainstream media is asking the right questions.

A painful Q&A with Josh Earnest saw the White House Press Secretary attempting to explain to reporters that there’s a distinction between “advise and assist” and “combat.” In short, everyone was keen on documenting the stark contrast between placing spec ops troops in harm’s way and Obama’s 2013 pledge to “not put boots on the ground” inside Syria.

While documenting the purported “shift” in strategy may make for good weekend reading for America’s clueless masses, it completely misses the point. As recently released helmet cam footage clearly demonstrates (assuming it actually depicts what Washington says it depicts) 30 Delta Force commandos were involved in a single operation in Iraq. That is, nearly as many troops as Obama is now set to send to Syria fought just last week in one battle against ISIS. And while that’s Iraq and we’re now talking about Syria, the distinction is to a large extent meaningless - there are American boots on the ground in the region and there have been in one capacity or another for at least 12 years.

The real questions revolve around where these troops are going to be placed, what their objectives are, and ultimately, how the Pentagon plans to do this without putting them in the crosshairs of either the Russians, the Turkish air force, or Hezbollah. Here’s a bit of color from WSJ on what the “plan” is:

US terror-state invades Syria, uses chemical weapons, bombs hospitals, lies that Russia bombs hospitals

The US is a government of dicts: rule by what is said/dictated rather than limited government under our Constitution.

President Obama has declared further US unlawful War of Aggression to invade Syria; in usual irony to ignore all 16 previous promises of “no boots on the ground.” War law is crystal-clear in letter and intent:two treaties that armed attack is illegal unless under armed attack by another nation’s government.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh’s investigative writing was just verified that it was the US who conspired to kill over 1,400 Syrians with sarin gas in 2013. This mass-murder was a false flagevent for the US to cause terror, blame a target, and then initiate an offensive military campaign propagandized as “helping innocent victims.” More analysis and video with Syria here, here.

The latest US Orwellian official claim is that Russia is bombing hospitals, but refuses to provide any evidence because of “national security.” Consider: why wouldn’t the US provide the names and locations of bombed hospitals unless this is a blatant lie? We know this is a lie of omission: failure to provide obvious and crucial information to support a factual claim.

Perhaps the US felt a dict-response was required from the US bombing a hospital in Afghanistan, destroying evidence with a tank, and following a history of such crimes.

Consider this 2-minute video of US State Department spokesperson John Kirby refusing to provide evidence of official claims that Russia destroys hospitals. Watch his body language:
