Was Jesus a liberal or conservitive?

    if you read the entire opening message Ken is this not the point?

    but glad to see it got many (not all) thinking.

    some, though, were distracted by the walking on water. I was not saying I did. but that too much of the politics has crept into the churches and other forms of fellowship.Jesus teaches us a better, "higher", Way.

    I do see your points but here are my reactions:

    I don't think just accepting the Torah makes the Sadduccees conservatives. It means they only accepted part of the Hebrew scriptures -- that's neither conservative or liberal, imo.

    The Pharisees accepting oral traditions means they accepted man made laws that burdened the people (acc. to Jesus) which is neither liberal nor conservative -- just wrong.

    How did Jesus introduce "change?" He did not change God's word at all but fulfilled it. It only seemed like change to those who did not accept him as the Messiah or those who had been tied up in the man made laws.
