Yes, Chopra is a New Ager, though he sort of is in a class by himself.

And yet Chopra is one of the most influential people on this culture, and has written dozens of books. I think all of them have been on bestsellers list.

Btw, here's an article I wrote on Deepak Chopra's book, The Third Jesus, which came out a year or so ago:

Since Pearson rejected hell a few years ago, it seems he's drifting more and more into a Christian-New Age syncretism. He says on the program that he believes in the "mystical Jesus," not the "mythical Jesus." This is very New Agey.

Pearson also seems to not understand the Bible very well. I guess that should be no surprise.

He did use a lot of vague stereotypes to describe "fundamentalists". I thought he came across as more agnostic.

Last year, I read something he wrote that was very New Age. Not sure if I will have time to find it. If I do and this thread is still open, I'll post a link. But I can't recall where I read it.

I agree it wasn't a waste of time. Jesus argued publicly with the Scribes and Pharassies and some believed, and some became hardened. I also thank God that I can understand truth from error because of His spirit He has given us"believers".1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Are ya grateful ??:thumbs:

It's funny because I'm on a secular board where they saw the video too. It's amazing to me how many say "Deepak was wonderful - and the bishop was great too". They just don't see it. At all. They are just so blinded to the truth that it shocks me.

I think the Gospel was clearly presented (on the site - not on the TV) and our side just makes so much more sense. I thought Deepak and the Bishop were just blowing a lot of smoke without saying anything of substance. But the unsaved don't see that - they followed it hook, line and sinker. :(

Well, I can relate to the people who liked Chopra and Pearson, because I thought like that for so many years. It's because people don't want a God who judges them and they don't want to admit they need God or they will be lost. They want a comfortable God, and Chopra's God (if you can call it that) and Pearson's God are very comfortable.

Right - and believing in Mark and Annie's God would mean they'd have to change and they don't want to do that (not realizing that when one becomes a new creation, the change is one that is wanted, most of the time).

The girl got carried away about the demons with her. That was enough for the scoffers to say she was strange. Even Mark looked puzzled at this.
