we got a new pastor today

    well, we voted for him today. there was a meet and greet friday we didn't get to go to because my husband had to work late, but there was question and answer and testimony last night, we weren't sure. but he preached about 10 minutes when I realized he was the one God had sent, i wouldn't have voted had I not known for sure it was God telling me. there were 202 votes, 4 no, 2 abstained, 196 yes. he starts Jult 5th, we're all looking forward to what God is going to do here.

    I knew I was called to preach when one morning I woke up and

    1. Didn't want to get out of bed

    and

    2. I was craving fried chicken

    Congrats, DonnA. I am happy to hear that you and your church are getting a pastor. Our pastor just joined us on Easter Sunday (we are his first church), so I know the feeling of elation.

    Hmmmmm. New pastors. It has been quite a while since I have been involved in a church that had a new pastor come on board while I was there. Honeymoon periods are interesting, but it is certainly an exciting time.
