I agree with you. We need to keep the electoral college. States like mine have a voice.

 

She may not have been eligible for the draft, but some of us were. Now, I do not agree with a draft in times of peace. Nor do I agree with a draft when we decide to enter a war we do not intend to win, or a war we had no business fighting in the first place.

For example, if we are going to fight a war, we fight to win, quickly, decisivlely, and exit. Fighting this type of war requires enough active duty men to execute the war. I believe we cqn see this from the mistake of using reserves to the max in Iraq.

One observation, I find that most who rant most against the foundations of our nation never lifted one finger to serve this country, nor have a clue as to what the price of freedom is.

Agreed. The electoral college's disappearance would be a nightmare.

 

I can say this for him, he didn't discriminate. He stepped equally on left and right feet.

 

He repeatedly said taxation without representation. We have a representative government whether you like who was elected or not. I think the only ones who can claim that is DC.

 

The electoral college is going nowhere.

A constitutional amendment would be required and it will never get done.
