I have been told by some that the Baptist base their doctrinal beliefs from that of the Welsh Baptist. Does anyone kwow what the Welsh believed and practiced as far as doctrines goes. Some may say to look at the 1600's articles of faith, but I would like to know prior to the 600's. Thanks for your help.

    Brother Bob,
Just blame it on a pom. She'll understand it then, won't she?

Another bit of Baptist history, at least in England, was that a Welsh Baptist was invited to come and address a gathering in the midlands. He remained for three months and several Baptist Churches grew out of those meetings. This was reportedly before there were any Baptist Churches in England.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Thanks for the site! It was very informative, but it didn't give any doctrinal beliefs other than baptism. If anyone can shed more light I would greatly appreciate it. [IMG]

    Jim,

Thanks for website. It took me awhile to get it read. I got alot of information out of it and new things to study. But, I still didn't get what I was looking for. I will keep searching. In particular, I am looking to see their views on the resurrection of the saints. So far everything I have read has not dealt with this subject. Back to the grind stone....
