I am an AVID reader and God has been using the books I've been reading lately to really speak to me. I'm amazed at how He has changed my reading habits these last few years. Anyway, I'm always looking for recommendations for GREAT Christian reads. Right now I'm reading 2 books by Cindy Schaap, Meek and Quiet Spirit and A Wife's Purpose. I'm also on my third (I think, I've lost count lol) runthrough of the Left Behind series.

    What are you reading??

Just finished reading Zechariah's Prophetic Vision for the New World by Norbert Lieth [(c) 2007 by Midnight Call Ministries; published by Olive Press, Columbia SC.].

It's an interesting little book (298 pages) on an OT prophetic book about which not a whole lot (at least to my limited knowledge) has been recently written.

While I'm not sure that I'd agree with every thing the author presents, I appreciate the fact that he doesn't tend to be dogmatic on what seem to be minor points (e.g., often he'll use "probably" or "as I understand it," etc.).

I got a Kindle for my birthday so I am getting back into reading more. I am not a big fan of Christian fiction, though, as my preferred genres are extremely sparse in that area. I will be working on getting some good books by Christian authors, just non-fiction.

I don't know what your preferred genres are, but there are many, many, many wonderful Christian authors in almost every genre. Perhaps if you let me know what genres you prefer I could recommend someone you might like.

Finishing up "Knowing God" by J I Packer, great read, really encouraging and up-lifting book. Next up is a book by John Piper on Justification.

21 irrefutable laws of leadership by John Maxwell. Not a Christian book, but with lots of Christian application.

    The Bible......written by God

    and

The Chronicles of Narnia....starting with the first book.

I know, what took me so long? I read so much to get my degree finished, I didn't want to read anything for over a year.
