On this THANKSGIVING DAY 2005 I thought it might be nice for people to say what they are thankful for. 1.As a CHRISTIAN I thank GOD everyday for HIS grace in giving me salvation. 2.I am thankful for my family. In 1998 I walked out of an eleven year marriage. This left my physically challenged wife with two young children. We divorced in 1999 and I got involved in another relationship. In 2003 through the GRACE of GOD and the forgiveness of my wife,we reconciled. We remmaried on 18 April 2004. Earlier this year we lost my DAD to lung cancer. He is truly missed. I cherish everyday with my family. 3. I am thankful for my church. Saturn Drive Baptist Church is a true community church which shows the love of GOD to all. 4. I am thankful for my job. When I walked out on my wife in 1998 and left Tennessee I got involved in another relationship. This women engaged in illegal activites which resulted in my getting arrested and convicted of a felony. Despite my management experience and formerly owning my own business I was unable to secure employment when I returned to Middle Tennessee in 2003. Despite the fact that my conviction was not drug nor violence related, the people of the bible belt were unwilling to give me a second chance. In August 2004 I walked into Goodwill Industries Of Middle Tennessee and have never looked back. GOD led me to a wonderful compassionate employer. 5. I am thankful for this great nation and for those brave young men and women serving around the world in our military. As a veteran I know of the committment and sacrifice required of our military. Happy Thanksgiving and THANK YOU to our troops.
HAPPY AND BLESSED THANKSGIVING TO ALL :D

    Happy Thanksgiving to you!

There are several threads in this forum and other forums where people have been listing for weeks what they are thankful for and of course I am "Thankful"in every post. [IMG]

As one other poster stated, it is difficult to list all the things that we are thankful for, but we should always remember to thank our God for our many, many blessings.

Seems trite to say I'm thankful for . . .

. . my God who chose me, redeemed me, regenerated me, indwells me and keeps me.

. . my family who loves me in spite of what I am
Teresa my wife of 35+ years
Jeremiah and wife Tancy, and Noah, Cami, Chloe and Jonah
Joshua and wife Angie, and Christian, Austin and Lexie
Elyssabeth and hubby Mike, and Daniel and Natalie

. . my church whom God has allowed me to minister as teaching elder

. . my nation and the troops defending her and leaders of it

. . my health which God is touching daily, allowing me another day to live to His glory.

    And more . . .

Salvation in Jesus Christ; but that's about it. I've already thunk Him a whole bunch of times for that, so on this lazy day with microwaved fish and a couple of football games, I ain't got any Oscars speech.

Of course I am thankful for all the above. I am also thankful for the trust God has in me to take the gospel to a needy country such as Ghana. Even though I whine and complain about what we do not have, what "they" do to us, what we have to contend with, etc., God still uses us for His glory. Hard to believe but its true.

I lived in Glenrock for about three months in 1981. Drove the 25 miles or so north to Casper to do my banking. Drove 60 or so miles south for tacos. No wonder they call it Big Sky Country. Thats all thats there! God bless you brother. God had mercy on me and sent me to Africa!

I'm thankful for my Lord and the Salvation He so lovingly gave me when I could never deserve it.I'm also thankful this year for my new wife which God blessed me with just last month and a new home and a decent job.I'm thankful for our children and grandchildren and our good church and pastor and all our wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ.I'm thankful that one day....and maybe real soon I'll get to see my Saviour and the place he has prepared for me.To quote the song..."O I want to see Him,look upon His face, there to sing forever of His saving Grace....".I'm also looking forward to meeting many of you in Heaven.....and for once NONE of us will have ANY differences!!!

I'm thankful for my salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. I'm thankful for my restored marriage, my wife who is great with child [IMG] I'm grateful for the hope that we have, for if our hope were only in this world, we would indeed be of all men most miserable.

People ask what I do and I tell them I am a missionary in Wyoming. And they believe me (which is good, since it IS what I am) because they know how wide open, desolate and unpopulated our state is.

How does Ghana compare in population and topography?

Ghana is much more populated even in the bush areas. What God has done is beautiful, what man has done to God's creation can be awful. I was in awe of the counrty there in Wyoming. I grew up in Chicago so the Big Sky country impressed me. You can see pictures of Ghana on our web site.
