What did George Bush, GHW Bush and Ronold Reagan do to Stop Abortion?

Bush's best legacy may be his SCOTUS nominees, particularly Roberts.

 

Probably his only legacy. That, and over 7 years of no terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. For all the talk of not getting Bin Laden, the U.S. under Bush has surely diminished the power of Al Qaeda.

Unfortunately, western Pakistan is the new headquarters for al Qaeda.

 

Ken, Al Qaeda's power, influence and ability to strike has been greatly diminished around the world. There is no denying that.

I can disagree, their potential is about the same. The strike on 9/11 they used airlines. They can still load a U Haul with explosives and suicide vest are still fashionable in that crowd. Where do you come up with diminished ability?

Terrorism is an ideology and not a group or person. You can't rid or diminish terrorism without changing the minds of terrorist. We have not done this in the least.

 

This fails to recognize that groups take up terrorism as a means for power. Those groups must be stopped.

 

Stopped as in kill everyone with a terrorist mindset?

Can we do that?

 

Can we defend ourselves from those who are blowing us up? Can we defeat terrorists on the battlefield?

How do you propose to change their minds?
