This is a truly awful and terrifying statistic. This should concern us more than many other things.

Nevermind the USA, think world. I am more concerned about the rampant immorality that brings about these potential victims.

When are we going to get more serious about preaching the gospel of grace than absorbing ourselves in political questions?

Resolve the first issue, and the results are eradicated.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is being preached throughout the islamic world via the www.jesusfilm.org and www.sat7.org - so there is no excuse for no one not hearing the gospel - in Arabic, even.

And they will, no matter when America pulls out. Their tradition demands it, their religion requires it.

Reminds me of Daniel 10. The 'prince of Persia' lives even now.

You have brought up an excellent point. The land is full of demonic activity and has been since the beginning of mankind. The roots of rebellion against the Lord God Almighty were formed in the land of Babel. That anyone has ever been saved (i.e. Ninevah, First Baptist Church of Baghdad, early Babylonian Christian Church, etc.) just goes to show how powerful the Gospel is. There are still a few people being saved from the ravages of demonic activity and islam. For them I pray, as I know they are suffering in ways that never make it to the media. At least there is a small window of opportunity for the gospel to be in Iraq, perhaps for one last time. Stories are told of Iraqi people asking our soldiers for Bibles. The Bible is a precious commodity in a land filled with violence, hatred, murder, and strong demonic activity which blinds people to believe in allah and promote his destruction and death.

Vera, you should answer some of LE's points, instead of posting up a blanket insult.

Yes, blanket insults are against the posting rules, Vera.

The only thing I can see where I agree with you, Vera, in your rant is that we should have not gone to Iraq in the first place. I regret and mourn all the American/Coalition aid workers, soldiers, and contractors who have been tortured, and lost their lives by beheadings and roadside bombs over there in that hell hole for an undeserving, ungrateful bunch of blood thirsty maniacs who can't even get along with each other, let alone the rest of the world.

Just think, if we would have left well enough alone, Iraqis could still be put alive into Saddam's meat grinders and women could still be eaten alive by lions after they were raped by Saddam's two evil sons. And whole villages could be executed after they were tortured, not to mention, whole villages including women and babies could still get poison gas to get rid of any problems, real or imagined.

Yes, the people of Iraq were much better off before the US went in there and tried to give them an undeserved "democracy" through our soldier's blood, limbs, and US treasure. You're right, Vera. Debate over.

Life was much better under Saddam:
