I have a question: I've been to several churches and most of them are lacking one thing, morals. What has happened to "Thus saith the LORD? Have we forgotten what God has told us? Such as be ye separate. What has happened to the beliefs?

It's called a falling away, no fear of God, and a lack of respect for Truth. A marshmallow gospel.

    So very true Granny.

I visited a Church when I was working out of town and the lack of morals and standards in dress code appaled me. I almost thought I was a night club where girls were looking to find a sexual partner for the night with how they were dressed.

It's utterly sick how much mainstream "christianity" has compromised with the world, and this church, which is a large church in a fairly active denomination is one of many living examples of this.

If you force people to obey on the outside is it really obedience? Shouldn't obedience come from the heart?

What's on the outside represents what is on the inside.

When people turned away from the KJV to their modern versions they turned their back on the God honored text.
Man has entered a dark age of sorts. We are reaping the fruit of a wrong decision.

Have you read 1 Corinthians? These are not new problems. Every generation has it's "handringers", you folks are just the latest example. The KJV thing is just ridiculous!

In the United States today there is an enemy of the cross of Christ who is proclaiming that the Bibles used by most Christians today are not really the word of God. And when some people believe that message and their life begins to show it, the enemy says to themselves, "Another living proof that the KJB is the perfect word of God."

You will not find short skirts in a Mormon Temple or a Kingdom Hall, but you will find exactly the same attitude. And the similarities do not end there—not by a long way!

I have been to one of those wicked places—one of those places where the preacher is a liar from hell condemning those who study the word of God, one of those wicked places where they arrogantly brag and boast of their own righteousness and condemn those who are truly righteous by grace through faith. I have been to one of those wicked places and I agonized for the souls of those who congregated there and made a mockery of the cross of Christ.

The answer to your question is simple my friend, and it has nothing to do from what Bible the preachers are preaching about in those churches (as some alleges in this thread), but the answer lies in the fact that those churches, you are referring to, have ceased to preach from the BIBLE at all! I wonder what would happen if even one KJO were to go to school and study the correlation of church history and the use of the KJV in the British Empire. But, of course, that will never happen. [IMG] :D [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

The thus saith the Lord has been lost in all the irrelevent KJV nonsense.

Outside of the rigidity of the legalism enforced in KJVO churches, the lack of morals is the same as any other church.

There is a fundamental problem with this question. I know of no living prophet today who can say , "Thus says the Lord", in the same way as the OT prophets could. The only place I hear these kinds of statements are from legalist who want to add to what the Scripture says. This includes some on this thread who add to the Scripture the requirement that a "genuine" Christian has to use the KJV. We don't say "thus says the Lord", we teach what the Scriptures say.

If anyone here wants to claim to be a prophet that can be tested easily, but I wonder if you would be willing to suffer the consequence of being found a false prophet?

If you ever find a perfect church don't join it because you will ruin it. All have sinned.

If a church doesn't want sinners then it has not looked at itself.

    Craig,

You seem so mean-spirited and judgemental sometimes. Christ's desciples should not act like that. I know plenty of true God-fearing men and women who have studied that very subject. So it has and does happen, ALL THE TIME. Don't be so judgemental. You seem to "tag" KJVO people into your "ignorant" group you have in mind. Almost every thread that is posted, you always attack KJVO and imply that they are dumb. Only Jesus Christ has the right to judge someone, not you. KJV has saved millions of people throughout history, and that is good enough for me! [IMG]
