    Brother Bob:

I am not going to vote for Mr. Obama, or Hillary Clinton. I am sorry that Mr. Mc'Cain is on the way to winning the party nomination for president, I don't like him, either. I don't care if he's a vet, and a former POW. I think Messrs. Huckabee, Paul, or Thompson would have been better candidates, but if he, Mr. Mc'cain gets the party nomination, then he is it for me and my wife (who was going to vote for Hillary, but apparently changed her mind, and I did not beat her into changing her mind).

However, what I am pointing out is that God ALREADY knows what is going to happen.

He will not be suprised at all, and that is not being fatalist.

I do not think Mr. Obama is a jihadist "sleeper".
I think he loves this country as much as you do, and as much as Mr. Righteous Dude does.
It's just that for me, he ain't it.

HOWEVER, if he does turn out to be a sleeper, then so be it, Glory to God, and may He work out His will for you and me.

If my family has no food on the table to eat, and I pray to God that He gives us something to eat, He already knows this is going to happen, and if I am indeed one of His own, then He already has a plan for us for today when we have nothing to eat.

If we die of hunger, then God is good and just and none of those who call upon His Name has any right at all to whimper and blame Him.

After all, IF we trust God, then we know that death from hunger on this miserable planet and this infinitesimal thing we call time will turn into fullness and joy when we get to His presence.

    Right now, I am jobless.

My wife thinks it was an impulsive decision.

ButI quit my job because I find it causes me to be irritable, to be thankless to God, and to grumble against the company I work for and which God uses to put foood on my table, and to pay my bills.

Was God surprised I was going to do this ? Did He not know it ? Of course, He did, and He knows what to do about it.

If He wants to kick me around a little bit so I can learn my lesson, then He will, but one thing I know, if He is indeed my Father, in the end His mercy covers all my stupid decisions, my insubordination, my presumptuosness, and He will guide me back into the way He wants me to go.

    I trust Him.

And the same thing goes for voting for the right guy.

We may vote for the good guy who truly loves this country, his people, and his God, and lead this country back into its previous status of leadership and Godliness.

Did our votes really do that ?

    Pick the right guy ?

I pray you find a good job Pinoy and that God gives you patience and peace in your life. I trust in the Lord also and use my mind and walk in a way I believe He would have me do. God Bless,

Bob, lighten up. It was readily apparent, and I stated explicitly, I was using humor. I hold no ill will toward you, nor was I attacking you.

I don't know when or where we will be when we find out what Obama is. All I know is that he is "all things to all men." He's a Christian to Christians, A Kenyan to Kenyans, A Muslim to Muslims, A White* Executive, a Black Minority, a POLITICIAN. He is everything, and that is not possible. When the pressure of national crisis is hot, he will stand for what he truly values, and no one here or anywhere else really knows what that is.

    * I mean nothing racist, here, just the same rhetoric bouncing around the airwaves concerning his identification with certain groups. But go ahead, rip me.

That's what I don't like about him, either. He wears too many masks.

    love,

In other words, he's just like every other politician only with a different skin color and name.

But I agree that he's such a unknown, we really don't know how he will react.

Proverbs 21:1 - The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

I have a funny gut feeling about him also.. I have had it since 2004, when I told my wife that he would be running for president this yr...
He reminds me, and don't flame me for this.. I am just being honest about the way I feel.. He reminds me of the antichrist in the Left Behind Series.... Nicolae...

Now I didn't say he was the antichrist, so don't say I did... but he has came out of nowhere and moved up in power so fast. It just seems strange to me... like there is a force behind him... and it would have to be an evil force because of the issues he stands for...

This is my gut feeling.. I really have nothing to base it on.. and I would never vote against him on a gut feeling... He has too many other things that would disqualify him from getting my vote..

I don't have to look at his background.. I can decide based upon what he says now... Pro Abortion, Pro Gay, that is enought to disqualify him from my vote.

And it is not because he is black, I have voted for Alan Keyes.

Tim, I know you must be hurting deep inside to have admitted that. But that is the first step to recovery! :wavey:

    It's Not Just You BBob

The brothers that came out and attacked my OP are the same ones that come down on most of my Posts. They seem to take whatever I say and make it personal.

You are correct. I was simply asking a question. This is our country, and many of the responses have been rational, and not judgemental. The BB is a place where we can discuss things, and I'm not saying Obama is anything; I am simply asking "what if?"

Thanks for all of you who have responded. I really was looking for input as to this issue, because it was brought to my attention by another source outside of the BB.

Let's stop the mud slinging towards brothers and sisters who simply share their concerns and thoughts. We need to soften our tone when we respond to a OP that is goes against our way of thinking. :type:

Did you vote for GW Bush? Perhaps because he convinced everyone that he is a Christian? That's a joke. He has said publically that Christians and Moslems worship the same god and that Moslems will make it to heaven but by a differt route than Christians.

I think the background checks are so deep and involved that I doubt someone in a sleeper cell could get as far as Obama has. But as Bro. Tim has mentioned there are a number of reasons I can not vote for him.

Did Obama Swear Into the Senate on a Koran?

The rumor mill has it that Obama swore into office on a Koran. If this is true, does that jive with his claim to be a Christian???

Just like you brother, I can not vote for him. But, I do believe he'll be our next President [oooops!]. And I feel the same thing in my gut that TinyTim feels. :tonofbricks:

Well, I don't know anything about if he's muslim etc. But what I do know is he has got to be extremely racist. Have you read his church website (the church he aligns himself with, as in common beliefs)? You pratically have to be black to go there, if your not your not going to fit in, everything they do is about africa, it's their main focus as a church, they describe themselves as afrocentric.

There is a thing I am at that is smiliar to the point that I was at with the whole Gore/Bush. Its voting for the lesser of two evils so to speak. Its disappointing that is usually the case with our presidential candidates. At least for me it is.

NOOOO!!! Bite your tongue! :tonofbricks:
Anyone can make their website say anything. Just because there is one site supporting it doesnt mean there isnt another against it. For instance, I LOVE Kent Hovind, but google him. There are a ton more against than for.
