What does it mean to be a moral agent? Are we as humans moral agents, and if so what does that entail? What abilities, if any, are necessitated as part and parcel to moral agency, that without which moral agency cannot be predicated?

Are you a "moral agent" if God has to create you for you to exist?

Are you a "moral agent" if God has to sustain life for you -- for you to exist?

Are you a "moral agent" if choice is something God has to give you - or else you would simply choose evil? Even if God gives that choice "to all" are they still moral agents if ALL are GIVEN that ability by God and it is not simply "part of their sinful nature"?

    in Christ,

    Bob

    HP: Absolutely.

    HP: Absolutely

HP: You contradict yourself in your questioning. You set up your question as if, either God gives to you choice, and then suggest that if He doesn’t you still can make a ‘choice’ or choose to evil. Evil, in any moral sense, is not the results of necessity. Evil, in morals, denotes an intent or action in opposition to good or benevolence. In morals, if one says that evil is ones only option, they are stating a misnomer. In that case what one is calling evil is not evil but rather is simply necessity, and choice or any moral designation to the word evil is a chimera.

HP: What 'choice' are you speaking of? In dealing in the arena of morals, there is no choice to do evil if what you denote as evil is simply the results of necessity.
