What is the official BB policy regarding the same poster that is using two different screen names?

Why don't you just whisper his/her name on the screen before you and then we'll(the Baptist Board GESTAPO) will take it from there!!!!

On another forum there is a thread about a proposal to issue ever American (citizen?) an official web ID. I think it is a good idea and would limit scamming. The number could be coded into a national ID card.

The issuing agency could use a two part ID number with only them having the "private" part. No one would know their own total code and as long as the master list wasn't hacked . . . .

Part of the public code could be a secret password with the rest put on a plastic
    "dog tag."

You are delusional if you think it would stop scamming. You do realize the Internet exists outside the US, right? You do realize that criminals find ways around the rules, right?

How would that help the BB, where not every member is an American?

Now that could explain the traffic queues on some of our our roads! The confusion caused by some drivers thinking they are on an island near mainland Europe, and others thinking they are in Jessica Fletcher Land!

....especially if we can catch him or her talking to themselves (their two screen names). Or better yet, debating with themselves! I'd like to see that.

I've seen that happen - not here on BB - but elsewhere

Won't happen since one screen name has been banned. Thus the poster goes to the alternate name.

Why does a username get banned?

I see two reasons listed in the rules for people to be banned.

    1. People using multiple accounts (point #11 in list.)

    and

    2. Any reason (3rd paragraph under User Agreement)

Oh, well the point made earlier was the username getting banned not the person. It looks like JF is back spamming the board with Calvinist posts. Wonder what happened in the first place.

Indeed it does look exactly like that. That is why I used the term 'username' in my OP. But after reading the rules I see that they ban people, not usernames. Apparently BB mods have banned a username and not a person.

There are problems with the admin panel. Several admins cannot delete accounts at the moment so the only way to close an account is to 'ban it.'
