What is the Scriptural justification for political activism?

    I think I have decided to join the many others here on Baptist Board who have PMed me and suggested that I do as they do and just ignore Daniel David, pretend he doesn't exist, don't even read his posts.

    I don't think that a person needs a Scripture verse for everything that they do. I know that some, maybe many, will disagree with me, but this is how I feel.

    There is no verse that prohibits a Christian from being active in politics.

    Fair enough. I simply asked for a verse to counter the many I gave. Terry doesn't believe he has to have a verse for everything. Well, neither do I. However, those texts I posted certainly lead to a different conclusion than political activism. At least, that is how I understand them.

    According to that reasoning, should a Christian be involved in anything that is not church related?

    Again, I haven't condemned the action. I only stated that the Scriptures I posted lead me away from political activism.

    I was looking for an honest discussion where someone could post a point of view that is consistent with the Scriptures I posted and maybe some other I didn't. I honestly don't think anyone has even looked at the Scriptures on this point.
