Like has been reiterated Brother Daniel David, the car don't run without the wheels and the engine. It is however IMHO, the person and work of Christ which differintiates the Christian from the heresy of the cults, ie archangel Michael with the JWs, and the spirit brother of Lucifer with the Mormons.

Each of the basic Christian Doctrines is absolutely critical. It was the Doctrine of Christ which brought 3000 to the alter on the day of Pentecost, before the Word of the New Testament had been written. It was the Doctrine of Christ, and the Book of Isaiah which led the Ethiopean Eunuch to Christ, through Philip. In many cases it has been the Doctrine of Christ which has led so many to Calvary, behind the Iron Curtain, when Bibles were so scarce.

So for myself I choose the Doctrine of Christ as the most important, but each as being critical to the whole.

    God bless.

    A servant of Christ,
    Drew

I picked Salvation. The reason is that the doctrine of Salvation encompasses the the most important doctrines.

Think about what is involved in properly teaching the doctrine of Salvation(forget the Calvinist/Arminian argument for second).

The true Gospel is that God the Father sent God
the Son to die for the sins of man. We must accept
that we have broken God's Law(where is God's Law - in the Bible) and are in need of redemption.
God the Son(Jesus Christ) payed our debt on the cross with his blood. When we accept Christ as our Savior we are indwelled with God the Holy Spirit(sent by God the Son).

So within the true Gospel the doctrine of the Scriptures as well as the Trinity can be found.

While I believe other secondary doctrines such as
Baptism and the Church are important they are not as important as the doctrine of Salvation.

The Plan of Salvation. Without it nothing else would be of any use to any of us.

. . .I had to think on this for a while. I think that Jesus Christ Himself is the most important. The doctrine of salvation is vital to get correct, but that salvation depends upon Jesus.

Do we really know Jesus? Does He know us? But are we truly in the faith?

Once we are saved, we move on past salvation to becoming a clearer reflection of Christ in this world. Salvation is the entry point, fellowship with Christ is the rest of our lives, but on the other hand, Paul continuously checked himself to see if he was truly in the faith.

I agree with the brother who said that all work together... but I chose God, because everything depends on if He is who He says He is. If God is God, then Scripture is infallible, Jesus (as God incarnate) can rightly be the substitute for our sins, and you and I can have salvation and never lose it thanks to our awesome God.

    It's all about Him. :D

The only choice is the Doctrine of Jesus Christ. All the other "choices" fall under that Doctrine, There is salvation in no other, Jesus Christ is God. There is no other name under Heaven whereby men must be saved. He is the Word of God.

The "God (in general)" leaves too much open for other false gods such as Mohammad, Confucious, Buddha, etc.

Scripture is found to be the Record of Jesus Christ including the Revelation.

Salvation? There is no salvation apart from Christ.

    "In Christ",

    Brother Ricky

I agree, IF the poll is referring to any deity at all, including the ones you mention.

I think the poll is referring to the Christian's doctrinal view of God (Yahweh), including His trinitarian form, omnipresence, omnipotence, etc.

</font>[/QUOTE]Forgive me if I have misunderstood you, you used the tetragrammaton "Yahweh" above. I have to say, that you are the first to use that in the same sentence as trinitarian. I've had many conversations with the YhWh bunch, and the word trinitarian is almost stricken from their dictionaries, am I wrong to assume you're a Yahweh, the only name for God, believer?

    In Christ Jesus,

    Brother Ricky
