I expect UAB will end Kentucky's season in the first round.

Yeah that is a tough draw for Kentucky in the first round.

I was happy to see Indiana as a 6 seed.

I now officially take back my statement about Kentucky possibly making it to the sweet 16.

If they get past UAB there is no way they beat UConn.

What a bummer year for Louisville(my favorite) and Kentucky.

(Louisville got the #1 seed in the NIT. whoop-de-do) [IMG]

    Hey, ya gotta believe...

UK could shock the world and stun UConn if they get by UAB...

I sure hope they do, but I have less confidence in this UK team more than any other UK team that I can remember.

I have tickets for the Dallas games (hoping UK would be there)but I am going anyway with my son and should have a great time.

However, the winner of UK/UAB can beat UConn, with a great game, and UConn off their feed. But don't bet too much in either KY or Birmingham, and you won't lose much.

I am happy to announce that Kentucky's season is now officially over.

They can sit down next to my team, the Indiana Hoosiers and Tom's Volunteers and watch the remainder of the tourney.

Seriously, KY really impressed me today. They gave UConn everything they could handle. Good season KY. KY fans thanks for putting up with me ribbing ya during the season, it is all in good natured fun. [IMG]

Patrick Sparks had the game of his life. It was not enough.

There has been a changing of the guard (temporarily?) in the SEC East. UK is really going to have to get more blue chippers on campus to keep up with the top 15 classes that Florida and Tennessee have coming in next year, and UT has a UConn de-committ interested. He's visiting campus in 2 weeks and it's between UT and Arkansas. I think Scout has him as a top 30 prospect. His name escapes me.

Mike Davis will find another coaching job immediately, and he deserves it. Ole Miss should give him serious consideration, although I don't relish the idea of playing a Mike Davis team. That's all we need is more power in the West [IMG]

Among the teams also seated with the Vols, Hoosiers, and Cats are the Heels, Buckeyes, and other Final Four contenders. Welcome to March Madness.

Moderator's note: Let's start wrapping up this thread, since UK's season is over. Let the Tubby bashing begin, but let's limit it to another page or two at most [IMG]

That would be boring. Who wants to read the word "everything" for 20 pages?

Yes and I was stuck in Dallas for an extra night. It was horrible. I was lucky enough to get in the hotel van but could not get to my hotel for a very long time due to all of the road closings. We took in other cars that were stuck and saw many cars and SUVs completely under water. I was AWOL today and my son missed another day of school. God was good and got us back to our hotel where we were safe and I just got home a couple hours ago.

Too bad UK went out like they did. I was able to watch the game and we really had a chance, but just couldn't get rebounds down the stretch and that one ball out of bounds was obviously a bad call and UConn turned it into a 4 point play just seconds later...

Dallas was great (basketball anyway, the weather stunk!) Memphis impressed me more than any other team I saw. They were quick, had a great inside outside game, and had very solid defense. They could win it all.

    More to come later...

I am excited about UK's baseball team this year. They are off to their best start in years; maybe the CWS is a possibility?

Can't wait until football season and next year's basketball season...

The regionals are held in San Antonio next year and the final four is here the year after. I should be able to see UK play then I hope.

    Well.

Another humiliation for Louisville, after a year full of humiliations.

Looking like an utterly putrid basketball team in getting destroyed by a mediocre SEC team in the NIT.

I hope Pitino meant what he "hinted" at about halfway through this comical season...that several players on this years team will be *encouraged* to transfer somewhere else.

An *amazing* season for Louisville. What a rotten team this one turned out to be.

    Mike
