I ask this question because as look at the 2 main candidates, I am almost nauseous. I keep think "Isn't a vote for the lesser of two evils still a vote for evil?" neither John McCain or Barack Obama would even be a decent choice in my opinion, I just can't see myself going to sleep at night knowing I help put either one of them in office.

I recently read this quote and it made me start thinking about why I vote for the person that I vote for.
So as I am leaning toward a third party candidate Part of me wants to say that would be just wasting my vote, and the other part says if vote for McCain or Obama I have STILL wasted my vote, so I am torn. Then I think, is our decision on who to vote for based on who we think will win?

So what do you think make a vote worth casting?

Brief diversion here. Weren't you a few weeks ago calling Ron Paul supporters 'terrorists?"

Serious question since this on the topic of the OP and 'votes that count.'

    Why the change of heart?

I had some pretty harsh things to say to his supporters, and then I too, became one.

You are misrepresenting what I said. I did not say "all" supporters of Ron Paul were terrorists. I said those who were doing those attacks were RP supporters. As far as those people my mind has not changed. And as far as RP well he is the only candidate we have had thus far that actually understands the constitution as it was written.

Fair enough - I was just surprised to see you associating yourself with a candidate who is supported by a terrorist group.

He was supported by several. But Baldwin may be a good alternative.

You vote doesn't "count." If the wrong person is elected he will be killed same as JFK and Bobbie.

What makes a vote count? Marking the ballot, punching the chad, pulling the lever... ;)

I may have to change up also. I'm going to wait on the debates but thing look a little too political and not at all on behalf of the people.

Unless you are a Florida Democrat then the standard for waht makes a vote count can be quite broad. Dents, dimples, hanging, mythical, whatever gets the lib elected.
