What makes you light up? What makes you so happy you just want to burst? Go ahead shout it out! Tell me all about it!

A few volts of electricity usually does the trick for me. :D [IMG] :D

Oh wait......you didn't mean literally light up.

Ummm, let's see......My kids. My husband. My salvation! That's a biggy. Every time I think about what Jesus did for me, and how unworthy I am.....words fail me.

Out where I live, it's really quiet at night and we don't have any street lights and such so you can see the sky and the stars twinkling away like diamonds on black velvet. That's what I was doing last night. Just taking it all in, or trying to. I just can't help but think of God when I see something as beautiful as the sky was last night. It makes me long to see Heaven! What a wonderous sight that will be!

    JUST KIDDING!
I dunno. I love to see it when people accept the truth of God's word, and don't understand why people stay silent with their heads bowed and eyes closed during an invitation for them to come forward. If I came up during an invitation for something like that I'd want people shouting and praising along with me, and why is the first thing a new Christian is shown about Christ is to keep silent and have it be a "secret" decision????

Looking at family albums. I love pics, any pics. I don't care if you're a perfect stranger, show me all your pictures! (yes Dr. Bob, I've seen yours)
I think most people's photos tell so much more about them than they realize. The look in people's eyes, what they're doing, how they're standing, who they stand next to in a photo, how they're reacting to another person in the pic or how they're NOT reacting, it goes on and on.

I love the feeling I get right before, during and after rappelling off of something. There is nothing like the adrenaline rush of flying down a rope at top speed. :D

Seeing someone come to Christ, and you feel for sure that they are truly converted and heaven bound. There's no greater feeling.

Seeing that one, the church has been praying for, come and walk the isle, surrendering his/her life to the Lord. [IMG]

Aside from the normal things, I light up when I read or watch personal stories about human ventures. Ths morning, on the early show (CBS) ,there was a story involving one of the singers on N-Sync (think that's the name.) A mother of a Down's Syndrome son wrote a letter about how her son so adored the group and his birthday was coming up. Early Show staff arranged a meeting in Hollywood.............the singer actually reserved the day to spend with the lad. He then gave them tickets to a concert, all expenses paid, including their flight. I thought I read somewhere that some of these lads made a profession of faith in Christ.

    Cheers,

    Jim

What lit me up in the last 24? My man calling me, wanting to take me out to eat. My man coming by to sing me happy birthday at work. My man seeking me out after church tonight.

I light up with a few things...

I light up everytime my husband walks into the room.

I light up when I know it's church day.

I light up when one of my children kisses me and says I love You!

I light up when I am watching or hearing about an amazing person and things they have conqured.

I light up everytime I witness a person being saved and accepting Christ as their saviour!

And I light up when I have just done something so simple for someone that I wouldn't even think about it, but they react like I had just done the best thing in the world for them. And that usually comes from my husband!

What makes me light up--the farther I am away from Jackson, Tennessee, the brighter I become.

I was in a meeting a FEW years ago and a male came down the right aisle and a female came down the left aisle. When they got up off the Altar still crying they saw each other and came together and embrased crying tears of joy. I don't know if they were brother and sister, husband and wife, or even related, but Anyone who saw it knows something was real between them. I thank God for lighting me up with this memory. I often think of it still.

During an ourpouring of the Spirit in 2000, a woman of the church, a friend of ours, a deacon's wife, sat under a sermon on the parable of the wheat and the tares. She came under conviction that, though a church member for many years, she was a tare, lost and undone. Normally a very calm and self-controlled woman, she trembled so severely that she could not even rise to answer the appeal, and several ladies had to minister to her where she was. She was gloriously saved that night! That still gets me.
