    Hello, FTR,

My non-fiction is mostly to do with my ministry and it's books by new agers, witches, etc. or books about them or related areas (although I've read fiction by New Agers in order to write critiques). Right now, I'm in the middle of several books -- one on Mme. Blavatsky (theosophy), one on the history and beliefs of Taoism, one on mysticism, one on the myth of matriarchal prehistory, and several magazines.

I never read politics, law or history. I used to be a paralegal and got accepted at law school but my marriage ended and I didn't go. I like history but don't read books on it -- don't really have time.

I'm very familiar with Watchman Fellowship. Yes, they are still around. One of their main offices is in Birmingham. In fact, I met 2 people from WF when I was a brand new believer. Three articles of mine are on their site.

One is a profile of astrology:

Another is a short piece on astrology I wrote as a new believer:

Another is a little piece on ufo's and occultism:

    Marcia,

Have you found The DaVinci Code to have been influential? I thought it was extremely fascinating but its theological implications are absolutely frightening.

I've also long been curious if many have come into New Age out of postmodernism or secularism with their rejection of the transcendental.

BTW, Marcia, I noticed on your website (which I found after my last post asking about the DaVinci code, so you need not answer that question) a reference to ties between belief in UFO's and New Age. When I read that, I was rather skeptical and remain so, but I'm now reading Dan Brown's newest book, Deception Point, which seems to have something to do with space aliens. Given the direction of his other two books, I'm starting to expect something making that very connection.
